The series is relatively new, but the hold it has on anime fans shows the impact it has had in such a short time. Solo Leveling only have 25 out right now, and fans are eagerly waiting for Solo Leveling Season 3which is likely to decline within a year or two. Of course, fans may be looking for alternatives in the absence of this incredible series, and it just so happens that one Anime Summer 2025 has actually beaten Solo Leveling already in weekly episode ratings.

More than that, Solo Leveling Season 1 also won Anime of the Yearwhich was another surprise for the fans. The series offers no action for the fans, nor does it have break-neck pacing and high-octane battles. But what it shows the fans is grief, pain, grief and trauma and it makes it much better than Solo Leveling.

Of course, it couldn't win the accolades that Solo Leveling took due to its recent drop, but any sane anime watcher would know that this year Solo Leveling was beaten by a better and much more mature anime.
