Players jumping in Diablo 4 Season 11 has a range of new builds made possible by the addition of the Paladin class for those who pre-purchase the Lord of Hatred expansion. While the surprise announcement of Paladin being made available for Diablo 4 Season 11 may have made it difficult for players to choose a new build, there are quite a few meta options available for the new class. One of the best Paladin builds for Diablo 4 Season 11 is a return to Hammerdin of Diablo 2 fame and is ideal for fans of Marvel's Thor to cosplay as the God of Thunder.
Fans of Marvel Comics, games or the Marvel Cinematic Universe are probably familiar with this Asgardian. Thor has appeared as a playable character in several Marvel games, including Marvel Rivals, Marvel's Avengersand Marvel Ultimate Alliancebut not many Diablo fans had expected Thor to be playable in Diablo 4albeit unofficially. The ability to wield a hammer and rain down divine judgment on enemies does Diablo 4's Paladin is perfect for a Thor cosplay build, and it even fits into the Season 11 meta as well.
Diablo 4's Hammerdin Paladin Build is perfect for cosplaying as Marvel's Thor
The most iconic part of Thor is his hammer, Mjolnir, which he uses in a variety of ways, including throwing it at enemies and swinging it around himself during battle. The other abilities that Thor is known for include the power of flight and the ability to conjure lightning to strike enemies with. While Diablo 4's Paladin doesn't use lightning strikes, the holy skills they summon are close enough that the class can basically use all three of Thor's most iconic traits.
Thor Paladin needs these key skills in Diablo 4 Season 11
- Holy Bolt — Throw a Holy Hammer and deal 90% x damage.
- Blessed the hammer — Throw a blessed hammer that spirals out and deals 115% x damage.
- Falling star — Soar into the air with angelic wings and dive into the battlefield, taking 80% x damage on launch and 240% x damage on landing.
To really feel like Thor in Diablo 4Paladin players will want to throw hammers as much as possible. The two skills that are perfect for doing this are Holy Bolt and Blessed Hammer, both of which allow players to hurl hammers at enemies. While Holy Bolt is a basic skill that throws a hammer in a straight line, Blessed Hammer is a core skill in Diablo 4 which swings a hammer around the Paladin to damage enemies in an increasing arc. Falling Star replicates Thor's flight ability, allowing players to launch themselves into the air and strike down enemies in a move that's perfect for both mobility and damage.
The perfect gear for playing as Thor includes the Paladin's very own “Mjolnir”
No Thor build would be complete without his iconic hammer, Mjölnir. IN Diablo 4the best Mjolnir replacement is Herald's Morningstar Unique for Paladin. While this is unique Diablo 4 weapon is technically a One-Handed Mace, it does the job of playing Mjolnir pretty well with a great Unique Affix:
