A recently announced maintenance period for Nintendo Eshop is pushing rumors that the direct July 2025 is just around the corner. Throughout the month, several insiders have suggested that the event was incoming, but no concrete details have emerged so far. Now it looks like a direct stream can come on Thursday, July 31 and finally give players more information about upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 titles.
The launch of Switch 2 on June 5 made history, with the new hardware that became the fastest sold Nintendo console of all time with over 3.5 million units sold during the first four days globally. Despite this, many fans were disappointed with their day-one offers, especially when it came to the first party's editions. Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza Has quickly become best seller, but players are eager to get more Nintendo games in the near future. For many console owners, a direct stream Nintendo is necessary for continued success for Switch 2, and if a new rumor is to believe, such an event can only be days away.

Nintendo Switch 2 has comfortable change
Nintendo confirms that its recently announced Switch 2 includes a super comfortable change compared to its immediate predecessor.
An announcement on the official Nintendo Japan website (and discovered by Dualshockers) says that Eshop will be taken down for maintenance on both Switch and Switch 2 from Wednesday 30 July at. 23.00 PT until Thursday 31 July at 12:30 PT. Usually this happens before large-scale events, such as a Nintendo direct, as games are often lost or posted for pre-order after the release date reveals. Just a few days ago, Leaker Centroleaks took to Twitter to claim that a Nintendo Direct was still coming at the end of July. Since several heavy Nintendo titles are planned to be released in 2025 but still lack the release date, this would be the perfect time for the company to share more information with its fanbase.
A Nintendo Direct might happen on Thursday 31 July
If the rumored Direct takes place this week, players can finally get a Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launch date or more information about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Jail. In addition, Pokemon Legends: ZA Is still scheduled for an October edition, although it will be available on both Switch and Switch. Given the substantial price of the console, many consumers hope to look more exclusive in the market sooner than later.
The list of upcoming Switch 2 games is long, although many of these titles are third-party gates. August will see the updated release of Kirby and the forgotten countryWhile September launches include Star Wars OutlawsThe EA Sports FC 26and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles.
