The strongest chest armor in Atlyss

No matter which class you choose for yourself in Atlyss, armor is an important element that you should take seriously, as it can be the deciding factor between victory and defeat in many of the game's encounters. However, putting together the right pieces of armor can be a bit tricky as the game gives you tons of options to pick and choose between.

The same goes for the Chestpiece armor, as these come in far more varieties than the majority of other wearables. Knowing which ones to grind for is crucial to ensure your character's safety at different levels of RPG.

While making sure your character looks good in your chosen armor is definitely important, the individual stats of the pieces can go a long way in ensuring your survival in Atlyss. Unfortunately, there aren't many Chestpieces that fit these conditions early in the game, which is where the Worn Cloak comes in as a welcome piece of portable equipment.

Much nicer and with better perks than its Slimecrust Chest counterpart, the Worn Cloak not only protects you against regular attacks but also provides fruitful magical defense. All you have to do is kill a bunch of Lesser Wisps, and you'll get a great Chestpiece that will keep you protected at the start of your journey.

Journeyman West

Wearing a chest piece that not only caters to your defensive abilities but also helps you in offensive scenarios can be quite useful during encounters. As such, the Journeyman Vest is perfect for your early moments in Atlyss. Aside from providing both normal and magic defense, the Chestpiece armor piece also brings attack and magic power to the table, so you can be sure you've got both fronts taken care of.

Fortunately, there are several easy ways to acquire the Chestpiece. Not only is it fairly reasonably priced at Sally's Store, but it's also conveniently available in various chests in the Sanctum Catacombs.

Slimy breasts

Killing Slimeks may not be the hardest thing to do in Atlyss, but the rewards that come with it make them worth the fight. There is a chance they may drop a couple of effective armor pieces when they die. Similar to how Slimek Leggings are some of the best under-armor pieces in the game, their Chest counterpart is just as beneficial in combat and provides excellent defense against many enemies.

Atlyss: Every class, ranked

Choosing your class in Atlyss is a crucial decision.

While you're pretty well protected against normal attacks, the Slimek Chest also keeps you safe, at least somewhat, against magic. And when you feel you've gotten all the necessary utility out of it, you can either Enchant it for a reasonable price or sell it for a good enough amount.

Warrior Chest

At different levels of the game, Atlyss offers different armor pieces that are specified for each class, but if you play as a Fighter, you'll find that you're always getting the best deal between the three classes. The Warrior Chest is one of the major perks that only the Fighter class can equip, as its defense is significantly higher than its Bandit and Mystic counterparts.

That's not all that the Warrior Chest has in store, as it also comes with a boost to your health and stamina, two important aspects that you need to keep in check during an encounter with the enemy. As a cherry on top, the Chestpiece armor piece also gives your attack power a nice buff, making it more than worth equipping.

Use Lively Enchantment with the Warrior Chest to give another bonus to your already increased health and defense stats.

Carbuncle Robe

If you've chosen to play as a mystic, it's only natural that you'll use a lot of magic in Atlyss. In these cases, it's always good to have a Chestpiece that can provide you with some much needed buffs in the middle of your journey. The Carbuncle Robe provides a massive boost to your character's magical power and defense, and is a fantastic choice of armor available only to the Mystic class.

Magic isn't the only thing the Carbuncle Robe will protect you from though, as it can also protect you from normal attacks. And given its small mana buff and convenient availability, there really isn't much reason not to consider carrying it.

Chain scale breast

Chainscale Chest in Atlyss.

There's a reason why the Poon character wears the Chainscale Chest canonically in the game's official banner. If you want to equip the armor piece that is the most accurate in Atlyss, then this Chestpiece is the one you should go for. Of course, the armor piece comes with plenty of useful buffs that cater to almost all of your character's stats, with its defensive abilities against both normal and magical attacks standing out as the highlights.

Aside from that, the Chainscale Chest also boosts your abilities on the offensive front. Combined with its stamina and skill buffs, you can rest assured knowing that your agility and attack power will see you through any battle.

2

King Chest protector

King Breastplate in Atlyss.

Defeating Lord Kaluuz gives you the chance to acquire some very effective armor pieces, regardless of your character's class, but the King set is easily one of the best portables you can find in Atlyss. Like its King Greaves Leggings counterpart, the King Breastplate is only specified for the Fighter class but is absolutely remarkable when it comes to its benefits.

For starters, it gives extraordinary defense to your character. It also gives you a health buff to ensure your overall safety in battle. On top of that, it increases both your stamina and attack power quite significantly, so you can stay on the offensive in almost any battle without worrying too much about the consequences.

King Breastplate has excellent defense, but pairing it with Guardian Enchantment can take its normal and magical defensive abilities even further.

Magilord Overalls

Magilord Overall in Atlyss.

While the Magilord Boots may fall a little short of their Berserker and Fuguefall counterparts for the lower body, the Overall more than makes up for it by being the best Chestpiece that makes the Mystic class a force to be reckoned with. Dropped after defeating perhaps the toughest boss in the game, Colossus, the Magilord Overall's extremely high magical defense is unmatched by any other Chestpiece available in Atlyss.

With a particular focus on magic, the Chestpiece armor piece brings more than enough power and mana to the table for the Mystic class to go all out in combat. And just in case any incoming attacks aren't magical, Magilord Overalls also come with plenty of regular defense and stamina to always keep you safe and moving in battle.
