A man from New York is in trouble with the law after claiming to have over $ 2 million Nintendo and Pokemon Products. If it was guilty, the seller may end up in a significant prison for the sale of the false Nintendo consoles and accessories.
Game consoles are big business, and unfortunately counterfeits and RIP-offs are produced to try to take advantage of the industry's customers. Nintendo -forgerer gets legal problems
It seems that too many fell for the fake products that a seller went online. According to the Nassau District Attorney's Office (via CBS), a man named Isaac Lapidus from New York has not committed brand forgery and conspiracy. Lapidus apparently sold these products on Amazon as a third party seller, and after many returns were made from unhappy customers, the company looked into the matter. DA says that a Nintendo official was introduced to inspect some examples of the return and explained that they were all forged, without actual Nintendo parts. The products reportedly included Nintendo Switch Docks, Adapters, Pokemon Go Plus+ units and knock-off versions by NES Mini.
After the discovery of the illegal sales, the investigators looked at the warehouse owned by Lapidus, which turned out to be full of the false products. At present, Lapidus looks at a potential 15-year sentence in prison if he is guilty, but the fee can potentially be worse, as the investigation investigates other products contained in the warehouse that may also be forgery. Amazon has since blocked the sales accounts and removed all remaining lists for the fake Pokemon and Nintendo products.
