Fanta has officially started its marketing with World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, Call of Duty, Forza Horizon 6and Halo: Campaign Evolvedwith a limited number of in-game items that players can collect for free. This is the latest in a series of collaborations for World of Warcraft especially, which has received an abundance of promotions to celebrate the release of Midnight expansion.
Recently, Xbox announced a partnership with Fanta to celebrate its 25th anniversary. While details were sparse on what this promotion would entail, most players assumed they would be able to earn in-game rewards for various Xbox titles by purchasing Fanta products, similar to its previous promotion with Mountain Dew.

That said, there's one big asterisk to this promotion: There's only a limited number of these in-game items up for grabs each week. According to the rules found on the Fanta x Xbox promotion site, most games have exactly 113,058 copies of each item to give away each week, save Call of Dutywhich shares that number between the calling cards and the XP bonus. But that one World of Warcraft the rewards are significantly more limited; there are only 2,392 of each reward available each week, meaning only around 40,000 fans will be able to claim each individual item.
On the one hand, this collaboration is much better than some other previous Xbox promotions. It is not region locked, lasts for several months and requires no purchase to participate. Additionally, the fact that the Fanta site connects directly to users' Battle.net and other accounts to distribute rewards means that scalpers should not be able to claim extra features.
However, the limited range of rewards is a huge downside to this promotion, especially for World of Warcraft player. It is unclear why these particular rewards are limited, but it has left a sour taste in the mouths of many. Fortunately, Blizzard has gone on the record saying that many limited-time promotional items, such as the coveted Hateforged Blazecycle from Wow x Mountain Dew promotion, will be available in other ways. Hopefully that will extend to this collaboration as well.
