There are an overwhelming number of recruitment options in the Inazuma Eleven: Victory Roadbut luckily, you don't have to choose from the pool of 5,400 players from the start. Instead, early on in your Story Mode playthrough, you'll be given a chance to fill out your starting XI with a combination of your closest friends and potential recruits to your fledgling football club.
Thankfully, Destin Billow's friends form a strong core to start building your team around, but you'll need to choose your supporting role carefully to fill in the gaps and play around your star players' strengths. Read on to see which players you should recruit to start your team in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.

When can you recruit your starting team in story mode?
You must advance the story through chapter four to reach the point where you can pick five out of 15 players to add your team early in story mode.
You can't recruit the other ten players until much later, when you've finished the story mode, so these choices are very important.

Here are the best methods to quickly level up your players in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.
Who are the best players to recruit for your starting team?
The 15 players you can choose from each have a unique set of skills that can complement the skills of your existing friends. You will come primarily look for good defenders and midfielders, but an extra forward will also be useful if you want a replacement for Raika, Briar or Cedric.
In addition, each player will be scored from one to ten by your friends based on their abilities, so you should use their input to make your final decisions.
Each player's cumulative score will be between 24 and 29, so you should choose players who have as close to a 29 as possible.
In addition to the ratings each player receives, you can also inspect their specific set of seven stats before making your choice. You can ignore the Agility stat for goalkeepers, as Alix La Fontaine will be your best starting goalkeeper for a while.
We recommend choosing the following five players to add to your team, because they offer the best combination of balanced and flexible statistics, allows you to move them around the field as you like.

This set of players will help fill out your team's midfield and defense, while your star players take on the responsibility of scoring goals as forwards.
Dario Highton and Charis Benzaie shall play as wingbacks in your defensive formation, while Winsor race cooperates well with Cade Shelby like yours central defender.
Tai Richter is an excellent the connection between defense and attack as the furthest back midfielder. Starla Thorne is a good partner for Thierry Reyes further up the pitch as a midfielder, directly behind Cedric Freud.
Finally, Briar Bloomhurst and Raika Shinohara is superb forwards which will combine well later in the story when you start playing against more difficult teams.
Each player should be played in their best position, except for Starla Thorn, as Raika and Briar will be much better up front. Starla's 30 in Kick is only one point better than her 29 starting Intelligence, so the difference is small.
Feel free to replace any of these picks with any of the others, but this group will offer you the best flexibility until you can recruit more players in Chapter Seven.
