The Beast reveals 11-week DLC content roadmap

Techland has shared a new Dying Light: The Beast content roadmap spanning the next 11 and a half weeks. The developer's short-term agenda includes everything from game features and technical improvements to events and rewards coming in Dying Light: The Beast at the beginning of January 2026.

Dying Light The Beast How Long To Beat

On October 18, it was a month since the last one Dying light the game's release. The beast debuted to positive buzz, as reflected in its “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, derived from an average score of 81 and an 80% reviewer recommendation rate. The open-world action-horror game received five updates in its first month. All of these patches were largely focused on delivering hotfixes for critical issues identified post-launch.

Dying Light: The Beast shares its first post-launch content roadmap

With many high-priority issues fixed, Techland has now set its sights on expanding the game itself. To that end, the developer just shared its first post-release content roadmap, which outlines new Dying Light: The Beast game features, events and other news planned to debut in the near future. Highlights on the agenda include a new game plus mode, legend levels and the nightmare difficulty.

Dying Light The Beast 11 Week Roadmap Q4 2025

The highly requested New Game Plus mode is expected to be significantly improved Dying Light: The Beasts legendary gate. Right now, players are likely to hit a major roadblock during the latter stages of a given run as the crafting requirements for Legendaries are so high that it's not possible to build out a large arsenal of advanced gear without constantly farming locations. Some fans criticized this increase in material requirements for messing with the game's pacing and making it too grumpy. The ability to jump into New Game Plus should alleviate such complaints, allowing players to continue working towards better gear without getting stuck in highly repetitive loops.

The newly shared roadmap also includes promises of some technical improvements, such as ray tracing support for the PC version of the game. A PUBG: Battlegrounds crossover has also been teased, adding to the ever-growing list of Dying light collaborations. Additionally, Techland plans to expand the game with a Nightmare difficulty and Legend levels in the coming months.

The developer has not attached a firm release date to any single feature mentioned in the roadmap. But the wording of the announcement suggests that the newly promised content will be split into multiple updates. While waiting for the New Game Plus mode and the rest of the roadmap features, Dying Light: The Beast players can participate in weekly “Call of the Beast” community challenges, which run through January 7. These limited-time events will offer 22 exclusive prizes and one legendary reward in total.
