While you play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomdesigned a couple of players an incredible pirate ship that can fly. The The tears of the kingdom community often builds impressive machines in the game, but this one has stood the test of time Zelda fans due to its complex design based on the legendary Flying Dutchman.
Although it may be hard to believe, The tears of the kingdom is already a couple of years old. The game served as a sequel to the incredibly popular The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While the 2023 title featured a reworked version of the Breath of the Wilds map, including Sky Islands and The Depths, one of its best distinguishing features was Ultrahand. Using this new ability, Link had the power to link objects together to create devices that could be controlled with Zonai devices. Since the game's release, players have been using Ultrahand to create some amazing builds The tears of the kingdom.

The Flying Dutch Pirate Ship Crafted in the Kingdom's Tears
One of these new things was shared by kmarkow on Reddit. In collaboration with CaptainPattPotato, they built in The Flying Dutchman The tears of the kingdomand the finished design did not disappoint. The pirate ship was massive, with its size dwarfing Link. The build included many sails and a small platform where the player could stand to control the ship. While the design of The Flying Dutchman was impressive, the ability to fly made it stand out. As seen in the Reddit video, the ship sailed among the Sky Islands, even at one point flying alongside one of the The tears of the kingdoms dragons.
Sharing the build, kmarkow provided some details about the project. According to Reddit user CaptainPattPotato was instrumental in getting the pirate ship to fly, claiming to be the “master of huge, flying Juney buildings.” Additionally, kmarkow thanked the Hyrule Engineering subreddit for their help with resizing items. They included a list of the parts that were changed for the build, such as infinite wings, sails and a Juney carriage.
This Flying Dutchman creation has caught the attention of the Hyrule Engineering subreddit. So far, the post has received hundreds of upvotes and many positive comments. Interestingly, CaptainPattPotato revealed that the final product was much quieter than the prototype. According to the Reddit user, the first design had the engine located at the back of the ship. Fortunately, kmarkow included QR codes for those who want to check out the build The tears of the kingdom by using the Zelda Notes app.
It's worth noting that this is just one of many machines that players have shared The tears of the kingdom. While players don't need to make complicated machines like the ones on the Hyrule Engineering subreddit to progress through the game, this evidence builds on the community's creativity. Several years removed from the game's launch, players have become more familiar with the building mechanics, even learning about problems to make previously impossible devices plausible.
Thanks to Ultrahand's creative capabilities, it seems Zelda the fans will continue to play The tears of the kingdom for many years to come. However, it is worth mentioning that potential details of the next big Zelda game for Switch 2 leaked recently. According to a supposed inside source, the next installment could include “cross-dimensional” gameplay features. While this could be interesting to see in action, none of this has been confirmed by Nintendo, so fans should take the information with a grain of salt. In the meantime, they should keep an eye out for new machine designs being introduced The tears of the kingdom by skilled builders.
