Switch players, here are the most popular decisions sent to see how you compare

Massive spoilers ahead Dispatch.

Dispatch is now available on the original Switch and Switch 2, and it's made quite a splash on the platform — but not for the right reasons. Odd censorship of the game has ensured that the launch has not gone smoothly, as players are frustrated that explicit content has been removed from the game with no option to turn it back on. Per AdHoc, this was done because of Nintendo's family-friendly values, although fans have been quick to criticize Nintendo since games with as much adult content – such as Cyberpunk 2077 — did not receive the same level of censorship. Having middle fingers, nudity and so on blacked out in a game aimed at adults is odd, but still there will surely be some new players trying Dispatch for the first time on their Nintendo Switch. For those players, here are the most popular decisions for Dispatchbiggest choice.

The following information is based on the most recent playthrough score screens and year-end data shared by AdHoc on social media.

According to the data, the most popular choices when it comes to romance are:

  • Kiss Blonde Blazer (Episode 1)
  • Don't Try to Join Blonde Blazer on Her Date (Episode 2)
  • Date Invisigal (Episode 4)
  • Keep Invisigal on the Team (Episode 7)
  • Sorry Invisigal (Episode 7)
  • Return the Invisigal's Kiss (Episode 7)
  • Trust Invisigal and Free Her (Episode 8)
  • Quit Invisigal (Episode 8)

The hottest debate among them Dispatch player base since launch has been whether Blonde Blazer or Invisigal is the game's “best girl”. While both of these romance options are valid for Robert, as players can mold him into an edgier anti-hero to suit Invisigal or a hero that makes sense as a partner to Blazer, one of the two characters is undeniably more popular. According to AdHoc's 2025 data, Invisigal was romanced by 1.9 million players compared to Blazer's 1 million followers. With almost double the number of Invisigal fans, she is clearly the most popular love interest in the game, and there are probably a few reasons for this:

  1. Blazer's early relationship with Phenomaman complicates things and can push players away from her.

  2. Invisigal is more blunt and direct with its interest in Robert, which includes a very revealing scene at the beginning of episode 4 that may have won some players over.

  3. Invisigal is the “more important” character in the story, as she is constantly involved in the plot and the biggest impact players can have with their choices is shaping her into a hero or villain.

  4. AdHoc has openly admitted that it may have shown a little too much favoritism to Invisigal, with Blazer regularly taking on a background role.

There are a few specific choices on the roads to these romantic options that stand out. While a large majority of players respect Blazer's wishes and do not go along with her breakup date with Phenomaman, 54% of players kissed Blazer on the sign in episode 1. However, some of those 54% were clearly won over by Invisigal's advances, humor, and hidden softness, as only 37% of players dated in episode 34% compared to 34% of players in Invisigal. Speaking of Invisigal, a majority of players risked low morale to keep her on the Z team (69% saved her from getting cut), while 72% forgave her for ruining Robert's suit and 87% of players trusted her in the finals. A staggering 78% of players kissed her back in Episode 7, explaining how so many ended up with her (or complicated their relationship with Blazer).

According to the data, the most popular choices involving the Z-Team are as follows:

  • Cut Coupe (Episode 3)
  • Recruit Waterboy (Episode 4)
  • Tell the Z-Team You're Mecha Man (Episode 5)

When it comes to Robert's associates and friends, there are three major choices worth highlighting. First and foremost is who gets to cut, which is a choice that strongly favors keeping Sonar. Maybe it's because of his memorable character design, voice actor MoistCr1TiKaL's existing fan base, or Sonar's ability to essentially be two characters in one, but 2.8 million players ditched Coupe compared to the 1.6 million who kicked Sonar. Maybe the players were just trying to keep Malevola happy because she's a fan favorite who happens to be close to man-bat, while Coupe has a bond with Punch-Up. Regardless, this is a significant gap.

Next is the toughest competition in the entire game, as it is between recruiting Phenomaman or Waterboy. There's plenty of love for the depressed alien and the awkward janitor, which explains how there's currently a 3% gap between them, with Waterboy slightly more popular at 53%. According to Adhoc's year-end data, 2.3 million gave Waterboy his first shot while 2 million gave Phenomaman a second chance. Both characters are not only likable, they also have noticeable drawbacks when it comes to gameplay, with Waterboy being drastically underleveled when he first joins and Phenomaman's depression mechanic regularly keeping him out of the fight. The next step is whether the players were honest with the Z-Team after the bar fight in episode 5, which is a choice that turns out to be easy for most. 84% of players told the truth about Robert's past, which makes sense since many players will have joined the list of villains by now.

A large majority of players forgive the character they cut from the team at the end of the game Dispatch the final, no matter who it was.

According to the data, the most popular shroud choices are:

  • Sheath both Astral Pulses (Section 8)
  • Spare Shroud (Episode 8)

The choice of Dispatchs villain Shroud are fun to investigate. Although the ability to predict almost anything makes Robert's nemesis a significant threat, it seems that most players realized that the smartest way to deal with him was to do something so strange that he would never have expected it. 61% tricked Shroud by giving him the fake and real Astral Pulse. Considering he makes players give up the fake if they try to trick him directly, this is the best way to pull one over on the man who killed Robert's dad. However, his fate is a very even split between the three results.

In a majority of playthroughs, Shroud ends up dead, as players who fail to properly mentor Invisigal result in her slicing Shroud's throat, removing Robert's ability to determine the villain's fate. While it's possible to make Invisigal a hero and still romance Blazer, most players who hunt the latter become so fiercely loyal to Blazer that they accidentally push Invisigal away in the process. Invisigal feeling neglected and rejecting a darker path happens in 32% of playthroughs, while 31% of players made Invisigal a hero but still killed Shroud themselves. Regardless of their reasoning – whether it's Shroud killing the former Mecha Man, threatening Beef, harming Invisigal, or destroying the city – Shroud ends up dead in 63% of Community playthroughs. While more players seem to choose to save him when given the choice (37%), it's hard to say which is more popular because Invisigal complicates things.

It will be interesting to see how DispatchNintendo's players handle the game's many choices and if this data matches what a majority of new players do. Invisigal will likely always remain the more popular love interest, but there is room for the data to shift a bit for choices like Phenoman vs. Waterboy who has always been close. Whenever Dispatch Season 2 is coming, hopefully it will offer just as many memorable choices when it comes to Robert and the Z-Team.
