Since it was launched last June Nintendo Switch 2 has had a steady stream of brand new game releases ranging from exclusive games to third party ports. Switch 2 gamers have had no shortage of games to play from a variety of genres, and the new releases aren't slowing down anytime soon.
Within the next six months, Switch 2 owners can look forward to games like Mario tennis fever and its biggest roster in series history, as well as the cozy Pokémon meets Minecraft game Pokemon Pokopiaamong a host of other titles. Usually, new Switch 2 releases are staggered, so it's surprising when multiple games land on the same day.
Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games for 2026
Mario, Pokemon, and Resident Evil are just a few franchises set to release Switch 2 games in 2026.
But that's exactly what's happening on Thursday, January 22. On that day, Switch 2 owners will have not one, not two, but three games releasing at the same time. On that day, Switch 2 owners can mark their calendars for the debut of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergradeand The Rumble Fish 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. All three games are third-party releases, but they're all games that Switch 2 owners will want to keep an eye on.

The Rumble Fish 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a hack-and-slash musou game and the latest installment in the long run Dynasty Warriors series. It was originally released for other platforms around this time last year and received mostly positive reviews. In fact, it's one of the better received games in Dynasty Warriors history. Exchange 2 owners who enjoyed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and looking for something similar should definitely consider giving Dynasty Warriors: Origins a shot when it launches on January 22.
Same day, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will grace Nintendo's latest home console/handheld hybrid. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is an improved version of FF7 Remakecomplete with bonus content that introduces fan-favorite character Yuffie to the mix. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a graphically intensive game, so it coming to Switch 2 is a promising sign of things to come for Nintendo's platform.
The Rumble Fish 2 is perhaps the least known of the Switch 2 games coming on January 22nd, but it's still worth a look. An arcade 2D fighting game from Dimps and Sega, The Rumble Fish 2The Switch version includes the new Team Battle mode and improved graphics compared to the Switch 1 counterpart. The game will also support crossplay with the Switch 1, so that's good news for those who want to play with friends who haven't upgraded yet.
