The presentation revealed that the film would be released on April 1 in the US and a few other major markets. In addition to the release date change, Nintendo shared a new trailer for the film that revealed official looks at Yoshi, Birdo, Mouser, Lakitu, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi.

The trailer began with Mario and Luigi riding their bikes across a desert to visit what appeared to be Tostarena from Super Mario Odyssey. Once there, they were tasked with fixing a plumbing problem inside the inverted pyramid, meeting Yoshi in the process. The trailer confirmed the design of the green dinosaur, which had been leaked months earlier. While Yoshi starts out shy, he seems to become part of the gang later on.

Beyond the Yoshi reveal, the new trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie revealed Birdo and Mouser, two characters from Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES.
