Reinhard accidentally cuts Subaru in half
Reinhard is one of Subaru's best friends in Re:Zero and is widely recognized as one of the most OP characters in the series as he is the current Sword Saint of Lugunica. So when Subaru asks Reinhard for help, he happily forces himself to take Sirius down himself.
But Reinhard's act of heroism went from a confident rescue to a tragic situation that ended with Subaru being killed. With one slash, Reinhard splits Sirius' body in two. But Sirius was able to transfer the physical damage to all the people that surrounded them with his ability, including Subaru. As Subaru's lifeless body lies on the ground, Reinhard is left frozen, struck by the weight of what just happened.

While some anime characters want to be with their loved ones when death comes for them, Subaru prefers to forget his last moments with Emilia in Re:Zero Season 2. Although Subaru has always dreamed of resting in Emilia's lap before he dies, he never thought it would happen in the worst possible way.

Rem tortures Subaru and ends his life
Before Subaru earned Rem's complete trust and loyalty, he had to die in her presence twice, trapped in the horrors of Margrave Mather's mansion. While Subaru's first death occurred in his sleep and the second took place in the halls of the mansion, the third struck at an even more desperate moment when he learned of Rem's betrayal.
Armed with a mace, Rem tortured Subaru, forcing him to confess that he is a spy from another faction aiming for the royal crown. Rem's brutal interrogation breaks Subaru down and brings him to tears as he struggles to defend himself. Feeling so hopeless, he refuted Rem's accusations without any chance to convince her. In the end, Rem quickly kills him to finally end his suffering.
Sirius hangs Subaru
Subaru experiences yet another brutal death at the hands of Sirius, the archbishop of wrath of sin, who can synchronize emotions, minds, and physical damage to anyone caught in her realm. It's a deadly ability that Subaru experienced with Lusbel when Sirius trapped them in the watchtower together.
Sirius quickly used the chain to tie around Subaru's neck, associating Lusbel's fear with him in the process. The same goes for Lusbel, who shares the feeling of Subaru's physical injuries. Soon after, Sirius hangs Subaru, who is slowly dying and gasping for air, as his thoughts begin to panic. Lusbel, on the other hand, succumbs to absolute fear and shock when he dies with Subaru.
The big rabbit devours Subaru alive
Bunnies are cute, but bunnies in Re: Zero are deadly killers who satiate their intense appetites by eating anyone or anything they come across. They may look like weak isekai monsters, but when their numbers gather, it's safe to assume that their targets will be devoured without leaving any body parts, including bones, behind. It is best to avoid them, but it may be too late to escape from them.
That's what happens to Subaru in Re:Zero Season 2, where he finds himself surrounded by countless rabbits that at first seem harmless but later devour him alive. Each rabbit jumped to taste Subaru's flesh and tore him apart while he remained fully conscious and unable to escape. The scene that follows is pure nightmare fuel, as the rabbits take their time eating his hands, legs and more. Oops!
