The best Dragon Ball games of all time, ranked
Not every Dragon Ball game lives up to fan expectations. These are the best games ever made starring Goku and the rest of the Z fighters.
Goku's insatiable desire to fight has led him to challenge almost any larger enemy in Dragon Ball series. However, a handful of incredibly powerful opponents have managed to slip under their radar, making them a rare group that has yet to clash with Saiyan warriors.
1
Evil Buu
The only version of Buu that got away
While Goku battled Majin Buu on several occasions during the Buu saga, facing almost all forms of the character, one version he never faced was Evil Buu.
Evil Buu made a brief but memorable appearance in the show, battling Good Buu and even overwhelming him. Considering that Goku was slightly stronger than Good Buu at the time, a showdown between him and Evil Buu would have been an amazing fight to witness.
2
King cold
King Cold could not avenge his son
Through the history of Dragon Ball, Goku has faced more opponents than you can count. But even after all these years and battles, Frieza remains arguably his most iconic enemy. And thanks to Dragon ball super, Goku was given the chance to clash with him again on several occasions.
Unfortunately, Frieza's father, King Cold, never got to avenge his son, as the tribes wiped him out before he could even realize who he was up against. While Goku would undoubtedly have defeated King Cold with ease, a fight between the two could have been an exciting addition to the story, even if it's brief.
3
Dabura
The Demon King managed to avoid Goku
The Demon King Dabura was the first significant threat introduced in the Buu saga. Although not nearly as powerful as Buu himself, he was strong enough to surpass a Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, proving that he was not one to be taken lightly.

Dragon Ball: Every Main Villain, Ranked by How Close They Almost Won
One of the earliest lessons Goku learns in Dragon Ball is that martial arts isn't about winning, but there are some fights he can't afford to lose.
Goku didn't get to fight Dabura because he was too busy fighting Majin Vegeta. If the two had fought, however, it would have been a close contest – unless Goku would release his SSJ3 form. Dabura's magical abilities, including his deadly stone spit, would have added an extra layer of challenge for Goku to overcome, making this hypothetical fight even more interesting.

Android 18
Android 18 has never actually fought Goku
When the Frieza saga ended, it felt like the Saiyans were unbeatable, especially after Vegeta also achieved the Super Saiyan form and pummeled the life out of Android 19. But this changed when Android 18 arrived and introduced a new force of power to the show.
Despite Vegeta's newfound strength, Android 18 gave him one of the most brutal beatdowns he's ever received, breaking his arm in the process. But Vegeta wasn't even her main target – Goku was. Unfortunately, however, a fight between the two never happened. Since then, Android 18 has appeared in the series countless times, fighting all kinds of opponents, but surprisingly, Goku has remained absent from the list.
5
Zarbon
Frieza's absurdly strong trader
Zarbon was arguably one of the strongest members of the Frieza Force during the Namek Saga. His strength was evident when he beat Vegeta to a pulp in their first battle, sparing the Saiyan only due to Frieza's orders.

8 strongest androids in Dragon Ball, ranked
The Dragon Ball franchise has seen several Androids take center stage. This is how it stacks up.
Unfortunately, Zarbon met his demise at Vegeta during their rematch, meaning Goku didn't even cross paths with him. However, considering how powerful Goku was during the Namek Saga, it's safe to assume that he would have made quick work of him. Still, seeing Goku take down Zarbo and get his revenge as his fellow Saiyan would have been an incredibly satisfying moment for fans to witness.
6
God of Destruction Toppo
One of the strongest creatures in the Tournament of Power
Goku fought Toppo several times in Dragon ball super, But never fought him in his God of Destruction form, which practically made Toppo a completely new being. This version of Toppo pushed Super Saiyan Blue Evolution Vegeta to his absolute limits, to the point where he had to use his suicide final blast just to knock Toppo out of the arena.
Without Ultra Instinct in the equation, it's hard to tell if Goku could have defeated God Toppo during the tournament. While Goku had already shown the ability to counter the Hakai move, Toppo's enhanced strength, durability, and destructive aura in this form may have tipped the scales against him.
7
Android 16
Android 16 never finished his mission
Before Cell came into the picture and the Z fighters trained in the hyperbolic time chamber, Android 16 was the strongest character on the scene. He was even stronger than Android 17 and 18, the latter effortlessly defeating Vegeta.

Dragon Ball Z: 10 Best Android Fighting Games, Ranked
The androids are the core of the Cell arc and take part in some of the most violent fights in Dragon Ball Z.
Although Android 16 was programmed to kill Goku, the two ultimately did not end up facing each other in battle. Given Goku's condition at the time, it's highly likely that Android 16 could have defeated him with relative ease – making him one of the few characters who could have killed Goku had they fought.
