Steam users has an exciting list of PC games scheduled for release in April 2026. Valve's popular PC gaming platform sees dozens of releases every month, from indie projects and early titles to full AAA releases. April 2026 will see the launch of 11 significant Steam games from a variety of genres, so all PC gamers will likely find something to look forward to playing in the coming month.

Even if Crimson Desert currently dominating the Steam charts in terms of player count, several upcoming April games could surpass Pearl Abyss' open world epic. Steam's release calendar for April 2026 is definitely skewed toward the latter half of the month, but both Darwin's paradox and Temtem: Swarms 1.0 release gets the month off to a strong start. However, PC gamers will have to wait a couple of weeks before the ball of game releases really starts rolling.

Both Darwin's paradox and Temtem: Swarm will be released on April 2nd, giving Steam users two brand new games almost immediately at the start of April. A few weeks later, Steam users can check out what are arguably three of the biggest PC releases of April 2026. On April 14, CHANGED is released on Steam, and players will get to dive into its gorgeous cyberpunk world and experience its narrative 2D action platformer. CHANGED has been a highly anticipated title since its visually striking HD 2D pixel art style was first revealed at E3 2021, and it also has a demo for players to try and get a feel for the game's world before its full release.

On April 16, Mouse: PI for hire releases, bringing a nice rubber hose animation style to the FPS genre. Mouse: PI for hire follows the story of investigator Jack Pepper, voiced by the famous Troy Baker, known for his performances as Higgs in Death Stranding and Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Now players will be able to immerse themselves in 1930s cartoons with a violent twist, similar to what Cuphead was already carried out in 2017.

Atomic heart's Blood on Crystal DLC will also be released on April 16.

Arguably the biggest Steam release of April is Capcom's new sci-fi adventure IP, Pragmatics. The game follows protagonist Hugh and his android companion Diana as they work to escape the lunar research station through a combination of puzzle solving and third-person combat gameplay. Capcom already knocked it out of the park with the release Resident Evil Requiem in February, so to have another massive title that Pragmatics release just two months later is a welcome double dose of action from the beloved developer.

The last two weeks of April will see a real spike in new Steam game releases, for starters Vampire Crawlers on April 21. Vampire Crawlers is the latest game from poncle, the developer behind the indie hit Vampire Survivor. This dungeon-crawling roguelike trades its predecessor's bullet-hell gameplay for deck-building, card-fighting gameplay, similar to one of March's biggest Steam game releases, Slay the Spire 2.

Just one day later, on April 22nd, two pretty big games are released on Steam. Tomorrow's tide is a “plastic punk” narrative adventure game from the developers of Route 96. IN Tomorrow's tideplayers will have to navigate a flooded world struggling to survive while making choices that will affect not only their own game, but other players' games as well, using the Online Story-Link system. This feature allows the choices of one player to affect the world of all players online, almost like Death Strandings “Beach-like” gameplay.

On the same day, Steam players will get exclusive access to the god game's city builder, Masters of Albion. Comes from Fable series creator Peter Molyneux, Masters of Albion allows players to influence almost every aspect of the world of Albion, mixing strategy, simulation, city management and tower defense mechanics in-game. For fans of Fable or city builder, Masters of Albion will be a game they will surely want to check out day one.

Players will be able to play as their favorite Invincible characters, such as Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Conquest and more in 3v3 tag battles.

The asynchronous multiplayer comedy game also launches on April 30 Bandit trapa 3v1 game that features physics-based environmental destruction and strategic gameplay. IN Bandit trapone player acts as the Trapper and sets up strategic traps to try and prevent the other three bandits from escaping the house with their loot.
