Splitgate 2 has hit a new low five times faster than the original

It is safe to say that Splitgate 2 has not started to life that the developers had hoped for. After the disastrous summer game party created by the creator Ian Proulx and an evaluated cosmetic package, Splitgate got 2 gloomy players. According to data from Steamdb, July 18, Splitgate 2 succeeded in a top -term player number of only 2,033 players (dropped as low as 548 at one point). This means that after the official launch on June 6, it reached this low point in just 41 days.

However, (again with data from Steamdb), the original split gate did not drop as low as it until March 10, 2022, where it topped 2,012 players, after launch on July 22, 2021. It is 226 days. This means that Spligate 2 has dropped to ~ 2,000 players more than five times faster than its predecessor.

Splitgate 2's failure is a sharp contrast to Marvel Rival's success. The 1047 shooter has now lost 92 percent of his player base in about six weeks. Marvel -Rivals lost only three percent during the same time. The biggest competitor for Splitgate 2's unwanted crown is the recently released Meecha break. In just two weeks, the MECH-based Arena shooter has lost 66 percent of its players. It received over 5,000 negative reviews in just one period of days, with players unhappy about the game's adjustment option and limited MECH elections. However, it remains to be seen if it will sink as low as Splitgate 2, though.
