How to unlock every character in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

There are 47 unlockable characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, most of which can be acquired in a variety of ways.

At the time of writing, it is unclear which characters will be added as part of Dragon Ball: Kicking! ZERO season pass, although release windows for the game's first three DLC packs have now been confirmed. Updated January 19, 2025 by Tom Bowen: It's been a few months now since the release of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, and the player base has mostly fallen away. With this in mind, Bandai Namco will be hoping that the release of the game's first DLC pack will be enough to bring players back to the table. The Hero of Justice DLC will be released on January 23rd (January 20th for Season Pass owners) and will add 11 new playable characters to the mix. These include Gohan Beast, Orange Piccolo and Cell Max, which should come as good news for fans of Dragon Ball Super: The Super Hero Movie.

Dragon Ball: Kicking! ZERO Season Ticket Release Schedule

According to information provided by Bandai Namco on the game's Steam page, Dragon Ball: Kicking! ZERO The DLC will be split into three packs. The first will be based on the 2022 film Dragon Ball Super: Super Herowhile the second and third Season Pass packs will feature characters from Dragon Ball Daimawhich was the latest new Dragon Ball project that series creator Akira Toriyama was working on before his untimely death. All three packs are scheduled for release in the first half of 2025, with the first two coming in Q1 and the third coming sometime in the following quarter.

Which characters will be included in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO season ticket?

The Hero of Justice Pack includes 11 playable characters (see below), as well as the Red Ribbon Army Disguise for Piccolo and three new Custom Battles.

As for the other two packs, they are the only confirmed DLC characters Gloria and Vegeta (mini)both of which will be in the first Daima pack. But given their importance to the plot i Dragon Ball Daimaseason ticket holders can expect more mini versions of some of the main characters, as well as antagonistic characters such as Degesu, Dr. Arinsu and Gomah.

How much is Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO cost for season tickets?

Players can buy Dragon Ball: Kicking! ZERO Season passes separately for $34.99. Alternatively, they can purchase either the Deluxe ($99.99) or Ultimate ($109.99) edition of the game, both of which come with the game's first season pass. The Deluxe Edition is arguably the more affordable deal, as players, in addition to saving $5 compared to buying the game and season pass on their own, will also get access to the DLC three days earlier than everyone else.
