Saber's connection to lock down some cosmetic options in Space Marine 2 can drive players to rely on the mods for the desired adaptation.
Space Marine 2Update of siege mode is just around the corner, and takes the long-awaited Horde mode as well as some new cosmetic skins. Although it is the free PVE supplement that has become most players excited, there have been some discussions about the choices made by Saber regarding chapter packages that release with update 8.0, White Scars Champion and Blood Angels Chapter Pack.
This update sees that the Assault class gets its first tailor-made master, but it was not blood-angel theme that many players had expected. Instead, it is locked to white scars, and who have annoyed some players who hoped that Blood Angels, a chapter that has made attack marines a core in their identity, would get cosmetics. None of this is supported by the fact that master leather cannot be adapted, and this is not the first time that Champion skins have caused some confusion in Space Marine 2 Community.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 1 Remaster may be the case with the wrong place, wrong time
As good as it is that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine gets a remaster, it feels like it could have been released at a more optimal time.
Space Marine 2's master's leather must be fully adaptable
Several months ago, Space Marine 2 Added a salamanders champion skin for the snike shooting class. This confused a lot of people, because Salamanders would use recon troops like all other chapters, it hardly felt iconic. The class does not particularly reflect the identity of the fiery warriors from Nocturne, and in addition, it first has a Melta weapons alternative in the Inferno gun, something it did not have in release.
Now the same eyebrows are raised after the election to make the attack class master a white scar. While many players are happy to see the white scars get some recognition, as they are historically so overlooked that it was written in their lore, the blood angels seemed to be the logical choice. Unfortunately, Champion Skins cannot be adapted in Space Marine 2Which means that players cannot even recall the champion or take the parts from the one they like.
Champion skins are unnecessarily locked
Saber has done a lot to do Vagna fans very happy and hand over modeling tools to Space Marine 2 The community, but strange, the studio does not want to fold on master skins. It does not appear to be a severe restriction of the game, as Space Marine 2Adaptation is very modular; Instead, it seems to be a choice, and many players would claim that it is strange. Although the armor parts could not be replaced, there are many reasons that players may want to recall a master, such as depicting a subsequent chapter.
Space Marine 2's adaptation is still one of the best in the industry and is constantly expanding, but Saber has placed some restrictions on championships.
It reflects a trend in the game where Chaos PVP classes are locked to specific legions, and these two cases of aesthetic restriction appear to be the most unpopular movements made by an otherwise very player-friendly developer. Saber seems to think that some cosmetic choices must be more locked, a point of view that few in society parts.
Unless saber changes things will fall into modds
Space Marine 2 Mods already include lots of new ways to adapt Space Marines in ways that Saber had not thought, but that should not be their responsibility. Letting players think of the game in ways that add new cosmetics is good, but players should not have to rely on mods, which not everyone in a lobby will share, to make changes to the adaptation that Saber should do instead. Most people agree that by making master skins completely unlocked, everyone wins, and these calls will only continue to happen if future master packages choose to deviate from the player's expectations.
