Solo department Season 2 section 9 was easy among the best that the series has so far produced. For once, anime focus was on the emotional side of things. The episode started with Sung Jinwoo gathering Baran's soul, which was the last ingredient needed to create life's Elixir.
When he opened the menu to create, a promptly informed him that the success of the procedure depended on his intellect. For a minute, Sung Jinwoo panicked, as failure would mean that everything his hard work would be wasted, and his mother would never wake up from eternal sleep.

Takes a risk of saving one's mother
Due to the lack of alternatives, Sung Jinwoo continued with the procedure, and thankfully it was successful. Before leaving the dungeon, Sung Jinwoo received two new abilities:
-
Kaisel, a new shadow born from Wyvern's corpse
-
The ability to change places with a shadow
Kaisel will be an excellent addition to his army, as it allows the hero to cover great distances in minutes. Kaisel will also allow Sung Jinwoo to fight flight enemies. Sung Jinwoo did not waste time using the new ability to return to his city. Shortly after his arrival, he used Kaisel to fly to the hospital where his mother was held.
The last few moments of loneliness
When he reached the hospital, Sung Jinwoo did not immediately use life's elixir. He was still unsure if it would be effective, but with no other choice he used it. Potion did not come into force immediately, which made the atmosphere even more tense.
All my fighters to get stronger … that was all for this. —Sung Jinwoo
Fortunately, life's elixir was effective in cure his mother's condition. To see his mother completely overwhelmed him emotionally. He realized that all his hard work had not been spilled. Now his mother was really back, and the family could live together.
Briefing for the new raid
However, Sung Jinwoo received a call from the Hunter Association and was probably asked to report immediately. So he went there without further Ado. Inside, he sat down with Go Gunhee, who explained the plans for the upcoming raid on Jeju Island. Sung Jinwoo immediately realized that it was an excellent opportunity for him to level up, but he didn't say yes. In fact, it looked like he was going to reject the offer because he wanted to spend more time with his mother and sister.
Before he could openly refuse the offer, he felt a strong magical radiation. Go Gunhee was impressed by Sung Jinwoo's ability to feel magic at such a distance. The head of the Hunting Association informed him that it came from their training center where S-RANKS practiced. The section ended with Goto Ryuji announced a friendly sparring session between the Korean and Japanese hunters.

Solo leveling season 2 episode 10 will be released on March 8 2025. It will mark the beginning of the Jeju Island arch, which is among the most hyped arches. The section is called “We Need a Hero.” From the title it is quite obvious that the RAID group requires the help of Sung Jinwoo.
Although they already have more than 10 S-ranked hunters, it does not mean that they will succeed.
Sung Jinwoos shadows are super strong, and they can very likely handle the smaller ants. In addition, they cannot die, which makes them a better fit to fight hordes of ants. If Sung Jinwoo rejects the offer, the RAID group will have no choice but to continue without him.
The next section will also reveal the strength of Goto Ryuji and his fellow hunter.
