Solo Leveling season 2's best episode has already been surpassed by 1 anime

Solo Leveling season 2 is still actively talked about in the anime community, even though the anime ended a couple of months ago. Solo Leveling's popularity is growing all the time, so much so that it even won Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Awards. Despite all this, another older anime series has beaten it when it comes to the highest rated episode of the year.

Solo Leveling Season 2 was phenomenal

A short season, but very effective

Solo Leveling became an instant hit with the release of its first anime season back in 2024. Although the first season was huge, Solo Leveling Season 2 was even bigger.

Season 2 of Solo Leveling came out this year and ran for 13 episodes in total. The entire season was incredible and contained many intense moments. Considering that the season covered the events of the Jeju Island arc, fans got to witness some of the most memorable episodes this season.

The Jeju Island arc is the most popular arc in the series so far. The high stakes and high-octane action made it stand out, and Sung Jinwoo's performance was the perfect icing on the cake.

As the second season of Solo Leveling ended a couple of months ago, fans are most waiting for the third season – and no one knows when it will come out. There's no update on what year to expect it in, and while it's certainly annoying, fans will have to be patient.

One Piece Episode 1136 is number 1 now

With season 2 of Solo Leveling Being the huge success it was, it is unsurprising to know that many of the episodes from this season are very highly rated.

The highest rated episode of this season is actually episode 12, “Are You the King of Humans” with a score of 9.7. This episode saw Sung Jinwoo take on the Ant King, and it showcased great animation and direction.

However, this episode has already been surpassed, and it was done by none other than One Piece. One Piece Episode 1136, “Kuma's Life,” has defeated Solo Leveling, with 9.8 points.

One Piece has proven once again that even though it's been going for years, it continues to surpass even the brand new series.
