2017's Hollow knight was a challenging game. Players started with only five masks, and each hit from even the weakest enemy would hit a complete one from their health bar. And thanks to Hollow knightHit -discovery, even just touching a single pixel of enemy model is counted as a hit. But Hollow Knight: Silksong Seems to have seen the original game's high level of difficulty as a challenge for itself.
Of all accounts, Hollow Knight: Silksong is a more difficult game than its predecessor in 2017. Enemies hit harder, managers are harder, platforms require fixed point accuracy and players are forced to adapt to these challenges in principle from the beginning. One of the earliest skills checks in Hollow Knight: Silksong Is The Bell Beast, a large silk -like creature that takes up most of the screen. And while the clock is far from Silk songIt is the most difficult boss meeting, it is the perfect enclosure of the leap in difficulties between the two Hollow knight game.
How Hollow Knight: Silksong's Bell Beast represents the sequel's increased difficulties
Bell Beast is a tough early game control
Located in the marrow, Hollow Knight: SilksongBell Beast is likely to be the other major boss players who meet during their Playthrough, and unlike the Mossmorer before that, Bell Beast does not wait for the player to attack. Too many Silk song Players, The Bell Beast will feel like Metroidvania's first significant challenge, and as such it serves as the game's first correct skill control, which ensures that players have reached a certain level before they can move on to the next area.
Bell Beast is a fairly fast manager, with it can roam the entire length of the screen in just a second or two. And because of the manager's large size, players who do not react fast enough to take a hit. Bell Beast's Dash also requires players “Pogo” to be from Boss' rear center, which mainly means performing an air attack so that the horn stops in the air until it is safe to land.
Bell Beast's Jump Attack is a little easier to avoid, but beating the manager under this window requires the use of the horns upwards. Boss' Falling Bell projectiles can also be a tricky obstacle to working around, with those who bounce several times before leaving the stage. It is a lot of mechanics for new players to hit their heads around at once, and to aggravate the matter, Bell Beast removes two health points when an attack lands, mainly the player kills on just two to three hits if they are not careful.
Largely, Hollow Knight: SilksongBell Beast is much harder to fight than Hollow knightFirst round of managers. Gruz's mother to the forgotten intersection is probably the best comparison with Silk songBell Beast, with its faster movement and larger size. But even then, the Gruz mother has only two distinct attacks, which both can easily be avoided without using advanced techniques such as “pogoing”, and both are just about an injury.
Hollow Knight: Silksong locks a core mechanic behind the clock animal
But while the clock animal undoubtedly hits harder than that Hollow knight Early games counterparts, the actual exemplification of the sequel's increased difficulty is that rapid travel is locked behind the manager's defeat. By comparison, all players must make to unlock fast travel Hollow knight Finds the first Stagway and pays the small sum of GEO needed to call the fast beast.
Locking fast trips behind Bell Beast's defeat is not an important issue, as most players have only visited two or three places up to this point, but it is a good representation of the step in difficulties between the two Hollow knight records, which is something that remains throughout the sequel's driving time.
