At the time of writing, the Silent Hill 2 remake has been out for 100 days. And yet, one player has amassed 1,390 hours of game time, or 57.9 days. This means they have spent an average of 14 hours per day playing the game… Why?
Well, there are a few possibilities here that, frankly, are more likely than someone who doesn't live a single-player survival horror for that many hours. There isn't nearly enough to justify 14 hours a day. You can get every single ending and all trophies in just 30 to 50 hours.
What's more likely is that Reddit user G1GG135_ left the game running with his PS5 open just to rack up the hours for this particular post. They claim that's not the case, claiming that “All those hours are actually active” and that they've streamed in front of others as proof, but that seems incredibly unlikely.
Even just farming hours while AFK, meaning they left their PS5 on without playing it for potentially over 1,300 hours. It is an incredible waste of energy and time. But it's not just the remake that they've done this with.

Silent Hill: The Short Message was released on January 31 last year. It only takes about two hours to beat, as it's a much shorter entry in the series.
However, G1GG135_ somehow got 1,560 hours of playtime. Since they last played it three months ago, they reached that number in about 260 days, which equates to playing it for six hours a day, and beating it three times per day on average.
Then again, it's more likely they just left their console idling in the game to get the hours, which still feels like a total waste of time. But is it impressive? Based on the comments, no.
