The Naruto the world has seen the rise and fall of several powerful shinobi over the years. With each passing era, a new generation of shinobi rises, and as has been the case for the vast majority of history, the new generation tends to surpass the old. Naruto Uzumaki's generation was the pinnacle of absolute strength, and Naruto himself was known to be the strongest of the lot. With the powers he gained at his peak, Naruto was unbeatable by the vast majority of characters, except for Shibai Otsutsuki.

Unfortunately, Naruto's reign as the strongest came to a rather abrupt endand he was eventually sealed by Kawaki. Naruto remains incapacitated to this day, and he is much weaker than his former self. As such, the space is for a new strongest to rise into Boruto has arisen, and the character who is now the undisputed strongest is none other than Naruto's very own son, Boruto Uzumaki. Boruto possesses immense strength, and while he hasn't reached the same heights as his father yet, he is quite easily the new strongest in the Naruto world and will hold on to this title in 2026 as well.

Naruto Uzumaki went from being a child with a huge curse on him to the strongest in all of history. He managed to achieve this by taming his greatest weaknesses and facing adversity with tremendous grit. Fans have come to love Naruto for these qualities, and that's exactly what made him a phenomenal main character. Naruto's greatest strength was quite easily Kurama. These two could stand up to any threat they faced, and while most fans would be happy to see this as Naruto's peak, the fact is that he became even stronger when he unlocked the power of Baryon Mode.
This power is enormous. It should definitely surpass his. But the disadvantages are too great. You see, the fact that it drains our lifespan is the key here. Using his own and Kurama's energy as cores, Naruto Uzumaki gave rise to a new form of energy that far surpassed the likes of even Isshiki Otsutsuki. This is what Naruto and Kurama called Baryon Mode, and it was also the beginning of their downfall, even though it offered him immense powers. Immediately after the fight against Isshiki, Naruto lost access to Kurama's powers and was made severely weak. Meanwhile, Naruto was also sealed by Kawaki towards the end of Boruto Part 1, and he's still incapacitated. That is precisely why Boruto Uzumaki has been forced to take up the challenge and become the new strongest ninja in the world in 2026.

At this point it goes without saying Boruto Uzumaki is the strongest new ninja. This is already clear from a few things. During the time jump, Boruto was trained by Sasuke Uchiha for about a year. During this time he gained new powers, and according to Sasuke himself, he managed to master the vast majority of Uchiha Jutsu known to Sasuke. Of course, Boruto still had to improve his usage, but the basics were already in him. Kashin Koji later trained Boruto for another two years in various jutsu across multiple timelines that he was able to access through his foresight.
The Boruto Uzumaki that fans see right now is the most perfect version of the character that could ever exist. This is also why he is one of the strongest. Boruto's strength is such that he can fight Shinjuu and even Code evenly.

If all this was not enough, one must also think about that Boruto has access to Momoshiki's Karma now. As seen in the last few chapters of the series, Boruto and Momoshiki made a deal, and Boruto now has access to all of Momoshiki's experiences, as well as his strength. This has essentially pushed Boruto above the level of an average ninja and helped him quite easily compete with the gods of the world.
Boruto's power level will grow further
It goes without saying that Boruto Uzumaki already has immense strength, and is easily one of the strongest in history at this point, but his powers will continue to grow further, and that's a fact. So far, Boruto has only used the first stage of Karma. When the bigger battles roll in, like the fight against Jura, fans know that Boruto will eventually use Karma Stage 2, which will propel him to an even higher level of strength.
Boruto: A Shinobi stronger than even Naruto is already confirmed by Kishimoto
Naruto Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters in the Naruto and Boruto series. Kishimoto reveals a Shinobi even stronger than him.
In fact, his overall power level should even rival Isshiki's, and maybe even surpass it. This means it when Boruto unlocks the power in Karma Stage 2 he should be able to rival even Baryon Mode Narutoand perhaps even surpass him in terms of strength. As crazy as it sounds to fans, it's true, and in some ways, very exciting for the future of the series.
Fans are hoping for Naruto's return to superpower
Of course, Naruto Uzumaki has already been surpassed by Borutobut fans also know that he will return at some point in the future. Although the chances of Naruto getting super powers in the Boruto series are not that great, fans still hope that Kishimoto and Ikemoto will do him justice sometime later.
That Naruto gets a power-up is a givenbut of course it remains to be seen if that power-up will compete with Boruto's more or not. Considering that Naruto is the seventh Hokage of Konoha, fans can only hope that his return to power happens soon enough, as it would be incredibly exciting for the story and it would also give fans what they have been craving for quite some time now.
Unfortunately, Naruto's return doesn't seem to be near at this point, to say the least. In 2026, Naruto Uzumaki will not return to the manga properly. Maybe Naruto Uzumaki can finally return the following year. But for now, fans shouldn't get their hopes up as there is a lot of content that needs to be dealt with before the Seventh Hokage returns.
