This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.
The Boruto the series has given fans a lot of exciting things to look forward to over the past few years, and it's also introduced them to many new powers, thanks to the incredible collaboration between both Kishimoto and Ikemoto. As seen at the beginning of Boruto series, the most exciting new power the story has introduced is Karma. Karma is basically the DNA of an Otsutsuki inscribed in a human that eventually decompresses and takes over the body, making them the next vessel for these alien beings.
Boruto: Kishimoto Officially Confirms New Human Tailed Beasts Stronger Than Jinchuriki
A new human-tailed beast has been revealed, and it's even stronger than a Jinchuriki in Boruto.
But now, in the series, Kishimoto has introduced a new power system and it's potentially even stronger than Otsutsuki's Karma. This new power system is that of Tailed Beast Incarnation. As is made abundantly clear in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Tailed Beasts can now officially incarnate into human bodies, and they are much stronger than Jinchuriki. In fact, the strongest Tailed Beast Incarnate is actually even stronger than an Otsutsukiwhich is clear with Jura.
Boruto has replaced the Jinchuriki system forever
As for Tailed Beasts, they are not that relevant in Boruto series. So far, only three have appeared in the story. Gyuki appeared briefly in the Boruto movie, while Kurama was with Naruto for a significant period. The 10 Tails are still as important as ever in Boruto. Apart from these three, no other Tailed beast made an appearance in the story, showing that their importance is not as high anymore.
The Fourth Hokage entrusted me to Naruto, we became friends and now he can use my chakra. The fourth sealed me to Naruto to take you down. — Kurama to Madara Uchiha
But not only the tailed beasts are removed, but the entire system where their power was used is now changed as well. Jinchuriki are officially obsolete in the world of Boruto. Now the Tailed Beasts are shown to reincarnate as humans. This was clearly seen with Jura, who is essentially the incarnation of the Ten-Tails themselves.
Jura is unlike any other Shinju in Boruto and his powers are on a completely different scale compared to the others. In fact, it's established in the story that Jura is even stronger than Isshiki, and that his powers are such that he basically can't even be killed.
Himawari is Kurama's Tailed Beast incarnate
Just like Jura, Boruto has introduced fans to another powerful Tailed Beast Incarnate, and it's none other than the daughter of Naruto and Hinata, Himawari. At first, fans thought she was just Kurama's Jinchuriki. However, the story has now made it abundantly clear that she is not a Jinchuriki but instead the incarnation of the Tailed Beast itself. This means that Kurama will no longer have any Jinchuriki in the future.
Listen carefully, Himawari. You are not a Jinchuriki. Power-wise, you're more like Jura, if anything. The power is completely different. — Kurama to Himawari Uzumaki, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
After Kurama, Naruto Uzumaki's next power-up will give him a new inner demon
Naruto lost Kurama. However, he will get a new inner demon in Boruto.
It also means that Himawari will most likely become the strongest user of Kurama's powers compared to anyone else, and that includes Naruto. Her control over Kurama's chakra will be far greater than anyone else's, and overall she will simply be far stronger than all those who came before her.
All tailed beasts may have their own incarnations in the future
The new power system established in the Boruto series now sees Tailed Beasts gain renewed importance in the plot. Just like Kurama has his own incarnation in Boruto, fans will most likely see other Tailed Beasts get incarnated as well.
For example, Killer B, if he ever had a child, would likely see the power of Gyuki transferred to them. Similarly, all the other Tailed Beasts can incarnate as a human, which should increase their importance in the series and give them new powers.
This would be a brilliant way to Kishimoto to tie the tailed beasts back to the main plot and make the fans happy too. The concept of Tailed Beast Incarnates may not make much sense at the moment, but with more time, more details about this will eventually be revealed and fans will accept it for what it is.
Much is still unknown about this concept in the Boruto series for now, and fans can only hope that the author will eventually go on to reveal all the deep secrets behind it, as well as show fans why it was introduced in the first place instead of the Jinchuriki system.
