Imu's true appearance was a mystery, but Oda just revealed it in One Piece.
At the moment, in the Elbaf arc, a huge flashback is going on. This flashback covers the events of an entire century, including the God Valley incident itself, and everything else leading up to Harald's eventual death.
In this retrospective, Rocks D. Xebec was the first major accident fans sawbut he won't be the last. Very recently, Oda killed another main character, and that is Ida. Ida was King Harald's first love and the woman who shaped his world view. Unfortunately, she has now been confirmed dead after being poisoned. Ida won't be the last to die either, as Oda will reveal the truth about Harald's death also in the coming chapters.

Among the many things that One Piece manga always delivers heartbreak and tragic deaths, and the Elbaf arc has not lacked them.
The latest death in the One Piece manga was revealed in One Piece chapter 1168, and it is Idas. Ida was an absolutely huge character in this flashback, and she was loved by the fans. Ida made her first appearance at a circus. Eventually, she met and fell in love with the king of Elbaf, Harald.
Ida was Harald's first love, and together they had their first and only child, Hajrudin. Despite their strong feelings, she never became Harald's wife due to Elbaf's archaic laws. Instead, Harald would go on to marry Estrida giant with a prestigious lineage. Estrid then became queen of Elbaf, and she had Harald's second son, Loki.
Estrid was an unkind mother who proceeded to abandon Loki, before dying not too long after. Ida would then act like Loki's mothershow and teach him great kindness.
Unfortunately, Ida was the victim of poisoning by the villagers of Brewer's Villagethat's where Estrid came from. The villagers did not want to see Ida become queen of Elbaf after Estrid's deathso they resorted to underhand tactics.
Fans had hoped that Ida would somehow manage and survive, but she unfortunately succumbed to this poison. This death was tragic, and her two sons, Loki and Hajrudin, have been deeply scarred by it.

Ida was one of the most affecting deaths in this flashbackbut her death was definitely not the last. Not too long before her death, Oda also showed fans the death of Rock's D. Xebecwho would go on to change the world of One Piece.
