Sanctuary Of The Guardians Fieldwork In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

The Sanctuary of the Guardians is the first fieldwork you will stumble upon after reaching Giza Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. After entering the blue tent to meet Gina's friend, players will proceed with the main quest The Idol of Ra and will trigger the Fieldwork quest.

When Indy is entering a Nazi-infested area known as the Great Sphinx, he has to be dressed as a worker to blend in. After getting the outfit and all the necessary equipment, Indiana and Gina will explore the tomb and solve some mirror puzzles.

Upon triggering the Sanctuary of the Guardians Fieldwork in Indiana Jones and the Great Circlethe map will lead you to the Great Sphinx area to meet Gina. Enter the tomb entrance to find a worker's clothes. Read the adjacent document to find out what the next step is.

To unlock the door you need a golden locket and a lighter as the tomb is very dark. Exit the tomb and follow the area marked on the map to find the locket, but be sure to give the soldier the bottle he asked for so as not to appear suspicious. Then go to the merchant marked on the map and buy from her lighter to have a light source inside the grave.

If you return to the tomb after retrieving the locket, Gina will comment on how dark it is, forcing you to travel to the merchant. So it is recommended to get the lighter before returning.

After pulling the first lever and realizing it's a trap, use the whip on the hook found and slowly go down to the hole below the hook you previously pulled. Crawl through it and climb to the higher platform using the whip. Continue forward and pull the chain to open the door and continue exploring with Gina until Indy stumbles upon a mirror puzzle.

How to solve the first mirror puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Taking a picture of the locked gold mask will give you a hint that it is locked behind a mechanism controlled by light. The goal in solving the puzzle is to shine a light on the two light-sensitive discs located near the stairs under the gold mask.

There are four mirrors, two near the entrance and two near the throne, and the two discs.

The first step is to go to the mirrors away from the entrance and rotate them so that the light beam hits the mirror opposite. So (1) should point to (3) and (2) should point to (4).

Then go to the mirrors near the entrance and shine the beams of light on the disks that are under the gold mask near the stairs. Gloss (4) on (5) near the stairs and rail (3) on (6). After a short cutscene, Gina and Indy will be trapped in a room full of scorpions and must find a way out.

How to find a way out in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Use the lighter to light Gina's torch as she will use it to scare away the scorpions. Then pull the nearby chains to unlock a room full of rubble and pick up the torch next to the skeleton, then light it up. Gina will comment on a faint ruined wall that may be the way out.

Now that Indy has cover from the scorpions, go to the other side of the room to find a hidden door with a flashlight on the side. Place it there and turn around to pull the lever behind the pillar. Enter the room to grab the heavy metal weapon, then travel to where Gina is standing to break the wall. Continue forward through the scorpions until a second puzzle appears.

How to solve the statue of light puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This second mirror puzzle (Statue of Light) is easier than the first. The goal is to shine a candle on the two disks that are on the statue in the middle of the room.

Approach the mirror and shine the beam of light on the upper right mirror. Unfortunately, the door is broken, so Indy helps Gina climb through the hole. The reporter will slide a mirror under the door for you to use.

Approach the mirror again and shine it on the top left mirror to unlock the room. Grab the mirror and place it on the pedestal to shine on the statue's disc. To light the second disk, direct the light beam outward and shine it on the mirror Gina is holding. This will complete the Statue of Light puzzle.

Keep exploring until you get to a room full of scorpions and a beam of light. Help Gina back up so she can control the light beam and protect Indy from the Scorpions. Climb up the broken column and jump on the ledge to start sliding to the right. Use the whip to jump to the other side, then go up the stairs to reunite with Gina.

Continue forward and grab the Protector Stele on the way out. Indy and Gina will eventually reach the entrance of the tomb. Exit the tomb and watch a cutscene to complete the Sanctuary of the Guardians Fieldwork quest.
