Job postings for roles at Rockstar Games have hinted at the developer's plans for Grand Theft Auto 6s online mode. The developer plans to release the hotly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19, 2026, with an all-new online mode expected to follow shortly after the full game's launch.
Grand Theft Auto Online was first launched as a companion to the hugely successful grand theft auto 5, released less than a month after the title hit store shelves. The multiplayer expansion has been a huge hit for Rockstar, with a dedicated fan base consistently creating content and participating in massive role-playing experiences on the platform. Take-Two has promised continued support GTA online despite the impending release of the base game's sequel, which will likely be paired with a new version of the online platform.
