Resident Evil Generation Pack On Switch 2 Still Available After Delisting

The Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Resident Evil Generation Pack is, predictably, being sold by scalpers on resale sites for quite a bit more than its MSRP. The thing is, since retailers haven't sold out of Generation Pack's physical copies, you can still buy it for its regular price.

Nintendo and Capcom were clear from the start that RE's Generation Pack, which includes Switch 2 versions of Resident Evil 7, Village and Requiem, would get the Super Mario 3D All-Stars treatment. By that I mean it would only be available for a limited time. I'm still not sure why Nintendo pulls this tactic every now and then, but as soon as the pack was revealed, it was confirmed that it would be delisted on March 31, 2026.

You can still buy the Resident Evil Generation Pack at Best Buy and Amazon

It really happened. You can no longer purchase Resi's Generation Pack through the Switch 2's eShop. However, the pack received a physical release and, unlike the All-Stars, retailers were not required to remove inventory from the shop floor on delisting day. Both Amazon and Best Buy still have physical copies of the Generation Pack in stock, listed for its $89.99 MSRP.

Elden Ring could be ready for Switch 2 when pre-orders show up

You can now pre-order the Tarnished Edition, which likely means a revised release date is imminent.

That's significantly lower than scalpers trying their luck, hoping that those who forgot to buy the pack before March 31st don't bother to check if the collection is still available. eBay is filled with listings for sealed copies of the package, most of which are listed for at least $120. Postage charges push those prices even higher (most charge as much as $15 on top of the $120 base price), while some hope that desperate Resident Evil fans who haven't done their homework are willing to pay extra and not double-check how much postage costs.

Avoid eBay altogether and just buy a brand new copy directly from a dealer, but especially don't buy this scaled copy, especially where the seller is charging almost $275 in shipping fees.

This was inevitable, but let's move away from scalps, especially while the package is still in stock

The fact that the collection is already showing up for high prices on resale sites means it's inevitable that people will eventually resort to buying it from scalpers. It was an inevitability from the moment Nintendo announced that it would only be available for a limited time. Let's just stick to buying it from actual stores for the intended price while we still can.

Also, let's hope Nintendo tries to avoid doing this sort of thing in the future. Regardless of the reasoning behind it, it fuels the scalping. The 3D All-Stars still sells for way above its MSRP via resale sites, though surprisingly you can get it for less than the Generation Pack, which again is still in stock at Amazon and Best Buy.
