GEARS OF WAR: RELOADEDThe latest part of Microsoft's long -lasting franchise is essentially a remaster of a new recording of the original Gear. Unlike Gears of War: Ultimate Editionwhich was only available on Xbox and Microsoft Store, this version of the game is available on both Steam and Playstation 5. Although GEARS OF WAR: RELOADED Is almost exactly the same game as its predecessors, it has some technical improvements that aim to bring it to modern standards. The game not only has 4K structures, improved controls and HDR supports, it can also be run up to 120 FPS in multiplayer modes.
One would think, given how basic a remaster GEARS OF WAR: RELOADED is that it would run on all devices without any hiccups at all. At PC, however, the game suffers surprisingly from a number of strange questions. GEARS OF WAR: RELOADED Currently has a powerful 50% user score on Steam, with many reviewers who point out their lack of split-screen co-op, limited setting options, graphic glitches and often crashing problems. While Microsoft and the coalition have confirmed that they are planning to release some corrections to fix these problems, they cannot sound the next big Gears The game has a launch as worried as this.
Even if GEARS OF WAR: RELOADED don't have split-screen co-op, it is worth noting that the PC version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Didn't. Split-Screen Co-op was only available in the Xbox port in the game.
The coalition cannot let Gears of War: E-day have a launch as worried as Gow: Reloaded's on PC
Unlike Gow: Reloaded, running on UE3, GOW: E-day will use UE5
Just like the original title on which it is based on, GEARS OF WAR: RELOADED Run on a modified version of Unreal Engine 3. This version of the engine is of course more than 20 years old at this time, and it is no longer supported by its original creators. While Reloaded Certainly looks better than most of the other games that used Unreal Engine 3 back during the day, it is still behind modern titles due to the technical limitations in the software frame on which it is running. However, this will not be a problem for the coming Gears of War: e-dayBecause it will use the much more modern Unreal Engine 5.
When Gears of War: e-day was first revealed during the Showcase 2024 Xbox Games, Microsoft published an interview with the coalition of the official Xbox website that shared more information about the game. The coalition's technical director of Studio, Kate Reynor, said in the interview to E-day will take full advantage of all the progress that Unreal Engine 5 has to offer. She not only confirmed that the game will have 'over 100 times more environmental and character details than Switches 5“But also that it will contain the next generation of destruction, Gore and animation technology. Reynor added it, with Gears of War: e-dayThe coalition intends to follow in the original GearFootprints by setting “a new standard within technical excellence.”
Unreal Engine 5 games have often been tormented by technical problems
Although it is amazing that Gears of War: e-day Will seem to be a graphic power plant, the fact that the game is running on Unreal Engine 5 may be a concern for some people. As many players may know now, UE5 is not exactly the most well -optimized engine out there. Others who have used the engine, including games that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Black myth: WukongHas suffered from many technical problems at launch, especially on PC. UE5's ability to deliver amazing images often come at expense of performance on most platforms.
GOW: E-day should at least be as polished as GOW 4 and 5 at the launch
Despite GEARS OF WAR: RELOADEDUnusually rough launch has the coalition, For the most part, had a pretty good track record when it comes to managing Unreal Engine. Gears of War 4 and 5 May have used UE4 rather than UE5, but the games went surprisingly well on most platforms, including the original Xbox One. Instead of repeating the mistakes that it did with GEARS OF WAR: RELOADEDHopefully gives the coalition Gears of War: e-dayOptimization the same care and attention as with the two titles.
