Ready or not to make content changes for release of the console

The upcoming Ready or not Console gates will introduce certain content changes compared to the original version of the game, Void Interactive has announced. Although the differences are not important, are Ready or not The developer says it decided to describe them publicly for openness purposes.

December 17 will highlight the fourth anniversary of Ready or not Launch in early access. The tactical first personal shooter was treated with a full -fledged edition almost exactly two years later, in December 2023. Since then, Void Interactive renovated some of its resources to port the game into consoles. The Irish developer recently undertook a release date July 15 for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.

Ready or not ready to fill the swat-shaped hole in the hearts of the console players

Sierra Entertainment's SWAT game may never come to current gene consoles, but at least ready or will not be there to fill in the gaps.

Ahead of next month's launch, Void Interactive revealed that the upcoming Ready or not Console gates will not be identical to the PC original. The studio chose to make some targeted changes to the game's content to ensure that it meets console certification standards from Sony and Microsoft. These include reducing several depictions of nudity and torture, as well as changing depictions in the game of children abuse.

Clear or not console version is just censoring of what is “absolutely required”

“There is no reason [for fans] To be worried about any of these changes, a void said interactive official in a prepared statement, noting that the developer only chose to censor content that its platform partner “flagged as absolutely required. “Also, these mandatory bodies of censorship were carefully handled, with the full intention to preserve the game's tone. The console versions of Ready or not should thus offer an authentic experience.

Some finished or not console content changes will affect PC players

While the limited content changes were invited by console certification standards, some will also apply to the PC version of the tactical shooter. The difference between cross platform and console specific censorship depends largely on feasibility and practice. Simple texture replacements-as to change evidence in the game to remove partial nudity or images of children-are one-time edits that Void Interactive can easily keep console exclusive. However, modifying entire assets, such as adding clothes to a naked character model, is much more difficult to distribute selectively. For maintenance, such changes will be implemented over all platforms.

All confirmed finished or not content changes

  • Miscoverment is still present but only occurs while enemies are alive.

  • Torture visuals were slightly tinted (eg less exaggerated wounds).

  • Some nudity was reduced (eg civil/suspected coverage).

  • Violent animations involved children were softened (eg children who turned out to sleep instead of cramps).

  • Evidence structures on the console were modified to be less clear, but the consequences remain clear.

Void Interactive believes that the vast majority of its recently confirmed changes are less so that they are barely noticeable. The most obvious exception is the degradation system, which still exists but was disabled for deceased enemies. The developer described this as an acceptable compromise because of Ready or not Already discourage the use of deadly force as a core design principle.
