Players report difficulties in using Playstation Online services due to an obvious Playstation Network break. Playstation has recognized the problem of PSN and works with a fix.
The PlayStation network is the backbone of online games for players on the consoles, so when it goes down it is often impossible to access online games. This can also affect other Playstation services, such as showing trophies or account data.

Many reports began to emerge at about 19.00 on the evening of October 14, saying that players had difficulty accessing their games or started offline. The problem does not seem to be completely universal, as some players have been lucky to restore their consoles or try again after waiting for a while. Downdetector also reports that the player's complaint regarding the interruption has decreased during the hours after the first reports, but some still have problems even now. Playstation's website shows that the system has problems and that all games and social activities, including challenges, help, gaming streams, tourings and trophies can be affected. At present, Playstation -video and the store do not appear to be affected.
Unfortunately, when this happens, there is not much more that players can do than to wait. Starting up an offline game is a potential option, while others start up different consoles or computer to get their game fix in the meantime. With some luck, Sony will track the problem or the problems and get players back online without having to wait much longer.
