The Pokemon Trading Card Game has officially revealed the third major set of the Mega Evolution era, with “Ascended Heroes” spotlighting a new Mega Pokémon. The Pokemon Company has officially revealed the next expansion coming Pokemon TCGshowing the first images for “Ascended Heroes”. Ascended Heroes will put a plethora of different Pokemon in the spotlight, especially with Mega Dragonite as its Spotlight Pokemon and bringing Mega Charizard Y to the game. The post also teases some unexpected new additions Pokemon TCGs next set, featuring new Stellar Tera Pokemon and even more Owner's Pokemon as part of the expansion. The Pokemon Company even confirmed the release date for Ascended Heroes, with the set launching on January 30th.

Ascended Heroes will look to pack in plenty of the biggest highlights of the past year for the franchise, with a selection of featured mechanics. The introduction of Stellar Tera Pokémon will mark the first time Pokemon TCG has used the Tera mechanic since Prismatic Evolutions, with new sets skipping the Tera mechanic as Pokémon wrapped up Scarlet and Violet era. The teaser image also hinted at reprints of several coveted ones Pokemon TCG cards, including Ethan's Ho-Oh ex from Destined Rivals and Pikachu ex from Surging Sparks.
