It has not even been a whole year, and Pokemon TCG Pocket already gives us reprint. Do we even call them reprint when they are digital cards? Re … loads? In any case, reproductive cards that are less than a year into the life of the game would be cause for concern for any other TCG, but it will be a goods for pocket.
The limited Deluxe Package Ex -expansion may be the best on an reprint I have ever seen, and even though I am a collection complete (please, keep your applause), I look forward to ripping up, you … unpack some luxury packages later this month -provided they do not come with a deluxe price.
Reprint, a necessary evil in trading card play
One of my big concerns for the service life of Pokemon TCG Pocket is that it is very easy to stay. If you take a break from the game for just a few weeks, you can miss a whole set. The game is constantly evolving, and if you are a collector or competitor you have to play quite consistently if you do not want to fall behind.
This raises the question: How should anyone ever start playing your pocket? I have been in the game since the beginning (I spent last September in New Zealand, if Pokemon asks), and I often fight to keep up. Until this week, I was still four ex -cards behind in the previous enlargement, and I play/pay constantly. If you tried to start your pocket today, with 10 extensions to open, you will never catch up.
For a collector, that's what it is. You collect what you can and accept that you will never have everything, which, to be fair, is not normal for TCGs anyway. But if you actually want to play your pocket and take it seriously (which I don't recommend) I have no idea how you would even start.
You will need to open many packages from many different sets and either be really lucky or spend a lot of money. The card craft system, which separates your package points in individual pools for each expansion, is not friendly to new players at all. Pocket needs some kind of catch-up mechanic, and with Deluxe Boosters it will soon have it.
Deluxe Boosters will help many people end their sets
Deluxe Boosters are extremely simple, but many of the best ideas are. These squares packages include reprint of cards from all previous sets from genetic peak to wisdom of sea and sky, with cards with a new foil pattern, alternative art, and most importantly, a guaranteed four-diamant card in each package. It's the ex -cards, people's. Pokemon TCG Pocket is getting it rain.
Pokemon Ex -cards are notoriously the most important and most difficult cards to get, which causes a lot of friction for players. These Pokémon is at the heart of every good tire, but pulling them is very difficult and potentially really expensive. You have to open 100 packages from the same set just to create a single ex -card, and most sets have at least five different Pokemon ex. And don't forget, you need two copies of each.
It can be quite miserable to try to find these cards, so the fact that you will get a guaranteed in each package sounds almost too good to be true. And until we get confirmation that these cost the same number of hourglasses as regular packaging, it can only be.
We must also remember that Deluxe Boosters will have cards from each previous attitude to wisdom of sea and sky, which means that there are potentially 80 different ex -cards you can draw from a given package. It can still take a long time and many packaging to get all the cards you want, but not as long as trying to pull them the whole traditional way.
The parallel foils are nice, and I am happy to see the alternative art, but that is what you can expect from an repression. I never expected pocket to give us guaranteed ex -cards, but it is the perfect solution to help new players catch up – at least during the four weeks between September 29 and October 29 when they will be available.
