Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have one final event to complete in 2025, as Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will return as Five-Star Tera Raid bosses for the first time since February, ending a 10-month absence. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have over two weeks to face Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, although some caveats remain.
As two of the rarest Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves have only had a few opportunities for trainers to fight and capture them. The most recent of these availability windows for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves was in February 2025, just a week before Pokemon Day. Walking Wake is a prehistoric two-type water and dragon monster inspired by Suicune, while Iron Leaves is a robotic, Grass and Psychic Pokémon similar to Virizion. Like other Paradox Pokémon, Walking Wake is exclusive to Pokemon Scarletwhile Iron Leaves can only be fought Pokemon Violet. ThusPokémon trainers who want to add both to their Pokedex entries must trade for the ones they need.

While Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC provided a host of new Mega Evolutions for players to use, a worthy choice is still missing.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Tera Raid Details (December 2025)
Although the Dragapult Tera Raid event has ended, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will soon have one last event to attend before 2025 comes to a close. According to Serebii.net, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will host the sixth round of the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves Five-Star Tera Raid event, starting on Thursday, December 18 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern and ends Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 18.59 Eastern. Pokemon trainers will have over two weeks to battle and catch Walking Wake in Pokemon Scarletand Iron Leaves in Pokemon Violet. Walking Wake will be a Tera-Water boss, while Iron Leaves will be Tera-Psychic. Given that Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are both set at level 75, a full team of level 100 Pokemon that have a type advantage against both targets should be safe bets in both of their respective battles.
Walking Wake and Iron Leaves should offer tempting rewards
Although each Paradox Pokemon boss can be fought repeatedly, Pokémon players who already have a Walking Wake or an Iron Leaves in their save files will not be able to capture another. While this is not the first iteration of this event, it will be the first time since the Switch 2 update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will be available in Tera Raid Dens. Considering that the execution of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been greatly improved since the Switch 2 update, trainers who have been waiting to try out Tera Raid battles will have an ideal opportunity to test themselves against two of the rarest Paradox Pokémon available.
During the previous event in February 2025 with Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, both Paradox Pokémon dropped some lucrative items when defeated or captured. Some of these prizes include Herba Mystica, which can be used to make four-star sandwiches, along with EXP candies and bottle capsules that can be used to power up various Pokemon that still need some training.
This may be the last chance to meet these paradoxical Pokémon
Although Paradox Tera Raid Events in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is a periodic and recurring event, the same cannot be said for Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. The fact that these two Paradox Pokemon have taken 10 months to reappear means that this upcoming Five Star Tera Raid event could be one of the last chances that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers must catch them.
Plus, with rumors about Pokemon's next-gen game making the rounds on social media, there's a growing possibility that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet event will be discontinued in the near future. As such, trainers looking to finish their Paldea Pokedexes may not have too much time to make sure Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are added.
