Pokemon Go's New Deluxe Go Pass comes with a catch

The new “deluxe go pass” for Pokemon GoThe Max Finale event comes with a large warning to a point promised by Premium Battle Pass. Pokemon Go Have seen an exciting year during 2025 with lots of big new events and additions to the game, from new Pokemon and developments to various events. Pokemon Go Has added everything from the Snom- and Hondege revolution lines to the introduction of the new “crowned” forms for Zacian and Zamazenta. Now the game's many summer events have all culminated in the event “Max Finale” with a special pokemon.

Pokemon GoThe Max Finale event has promised the fans the first chance to pick up one of the most remarkable Pokémon from the eighth generation of the franchise. Max Finale officially introduced Pokemon Sword & Shield Legendary Pokemon Eternatus to the game as its main spotlight Pokemon and adds raid battles for the terrible Pokemon's “Eternamax” form. Eternatus can only occur in Tier 6 RAID battles during the event, which requires teams with 100 players to meet to fight Eternatus. However, a new premium bag for Max Finale has a significant catch for its rewards.

Pokemon Go Player Justkitten_RightMeow shared his discovery from a Niantic Support conversation about the game's official subreddit. Posten reveals that the increased shiny odds from the Max Final Deluxe Go Pass may not extend as far as fans originally believed, it is said to only affect Pokemon who met through the passes of the pass. The support conversation suggests that the increased shiny odds do not extend to other Dynamax meetings, which contradicts the passport that claims to increase Dynamax struggle shiny prices. Niantic has not made an official statement about claims, outside the support conversation.

Pokemon Go Max Final Deluxe Pass has a large catch

The dispute over the Deluxe Go Pass Shiny prices comes when the Max final recently made some major changes to coincide with the event. Together with the introduction of Eternamax Eternatus, Niantic raised the player limits for Pokemon GoGigantamax battles, with the aforementioned new limit for 100 players required to fight Eternatus. Pokemon Go Fans have also theorized that Niantic's new elevated player limit for attacks can potentially lead to an increased difficulty for attacks, with more players who can now hit individual Pokemon.

While Pokemon GoMax Finale event will serve as one of the highlights of the year, Niantic looks to have plenty of the following Pokemon Go Party's conclusion. The developer has already revealed one of the next Pokémon to be added to the game, with next week's “Sunkissed Shores” event with the introduction of the ninth generation Pokemon Dondozo. Fans also speculate on it Pokemon Go may plan to add Tera Pokemon in the near future, with Max Finale who is expected to unpack the game's focus on Pokemon Sword and Shield. Pokemon Go Fans should have lots in the store in the future, even when Max Finale ends.
