Mega Evolution has been in Pokemon Go Since 2020, but currently Latios, Latias, Rayquaza and Diancie are the only legendary/mythical creatures that can be developed. There are some Pokémon in the game that can use Dynamax or Gigantamax as well as Mega Evolution, but surprisingly none of them are legends beyond Latios and Latias. It is interesting that this line for legends in Pokemon Go Has been broken by the Eon duo, considering Mewtwo and Rayquaza is undoubtedly more favorable alternatives for meeting this brand, but it went to the unexpected generation 3 Pokemon. It is a welcome change after how long Mewtwo has at least stolen the limelight in other parts of the franchise.

Getting Dynamax Latios and Latias will now be practical later

Unlike PoGOMega Evolution Mechanic, Dynamax was recently added, back in September 2024. There are still a lot of Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon to come to the game, and Latios and Latias can be incredible assets to catch them if players are snaging them now rather than later. Eon -duo may have been in Pokemon Go Since 2018, but there may be some fans who do not have one or the other that may like to get a chance to add them to their pokedx at a time where they can be even more useful. There is also a chance that the upcoming Pokemon gifts may reveal what others GO Events occur at the same time, so Latias and Latios can have a more important purpose that the fans do not know yet at the peak of everything else.
