This article contains possible spoilers for Pokemon Gen 10
Pokémon Gen 10 leaks detail the games signature riding mechanics along with a new visual, and several features, including MMO-like ones, have reportedly been scrapped. With the massive information drop from TeraLeak last year, fans assumed that leaks for Pokémon Gen 10 and future games were supposed to be out of the question, but in early October a ton of new information surfaced online. Since these leaks all come from the same source, even including official documents from GameFreak's internal development plans, it seems that the next set of games for the series already have many features that are public.
Although it is unclear what Pokémon Gen 10 starters will be, since the only leaks about them have to do with how players will get their first partner Pokemon, there have been several other meaningful leaks, such as:
While these were considered reliable leaks due to being part of the plan for Gen 10 games, it appears that the current build of the games has already changed significantly in various ways. No mention of the title of Gen 10 as Pokemon wind and wavebut some of the previous leaks may no longer be true.
Gen 10 Pokemon images leaked online
Images shared online reportedly give players an early look at what the tenth generation of Pokemon games will look like when they launch.
Take a first look at Pokemon Gen 10's Ride Mechanic
If true, Centro Leaks shared a new Gen 10 image on Twitter showing what appears to be a Pokemon trainer using the new Rotom Scooter, similar to Pokémon Gen 8's Rotom Bike. This tool will allegedly be used to travel across the map on land, and it can be attached to Pokémon that have a so-called “energy leash”, which will allow Rotom Scooter to gain the crossing powers of these creatures. Flying Pokemon let the Rotom Scooter fly and slide, Water Pokemon let it ride the waves or even go underwater, and so on.
On top of that, some previous leaks are claimed to no longer be accurate, such as Pokémon Gen 10's mechanics and scope have changed since then. Centro Leaks says that:
-
Pokémon Gen 10 was originally made of exploration, MMO-like mechanics and procedural generation.
-
Procedural generation was cut and made into a separate project that was also later scrapped, and from which Pokopia was born.
-
MMO-like features have also seemingly been scrapped from Gen 10 and made into a separate project, which is the previously leaked MMO that spans all regions from Gen 1 to Gen 4.
-
-
Pokémon Gen 10's riding mechanic will not be available to all Pokemon, as previously mentioned, and the Pokemon themselves will not be ridden.
-
There has been no mention of the ability to pet all Pokemon.
-
- Pokémon Gen 10's leaked build includes a pouch pocket for Mega Stones, indicating that Pokemon Legends: ZAs Mega Evolutions can come back outside Pokemon champion. However, no Mega Stones were in the build.
It's unclear at this stage what else may or may already have changed, but it appears the setting and titles will remain, as will the core mechanics of Weather Moves and the Switch 2 exclusivity. The same leaks state that no gyms will be present and that players could technically face the game's final “boss” right after leaving the first island, thus being able to roll credits and “beat” the game early. However, it appears that procedural generation for islands and the leaked “Seed Pokemon” will not be in Gen 10, nor will the MMO-like features.
