Player Dunk on Gamestop's latest social media post

While some may have good memories from Gamestop, such as standing in line for a midnight releasing for a long -awaited title, most players have a fairly controversial relationship with the dealer, largely due to the narrow sums offered when trading in video games or increased prices on regular goods.

So when the dealer decided to publish a pro-physical game post on social media, they were met by players who reminded how horrible the physical gaming collection experience depends on the retailer itself.

Unfortunately, gamestop, there is nothing personal. Well, maybe a little

Just a day ago, the dealer spoke to an all-digital future, one that would certainly destroy the very foundation for their business. In response, over 7,000 people had something to say to the dealer, and most were not beautiful.

“You accelerated this decline to digital play by having an abysmal low frequencies for people who still wanted physical copies and used half the shelf space in your stores for funko pops instead of games,” a person patted back on Twitter.

“When your business starts buying games from people for its actual market value and does not try to make 2-3x to their trade in value,” replied another person.

The rally did not stay there either. In addition to describing how the digital future was partly divided, by not evaluating people's collections, others noted how it is impossible to even gather Gamestop's greater shift to the collector's item, with less space in store for, yes, actual games.

“… you go into one of their stores and there is like a shelf with video games and the rest of the shelves are funko pops and comic book,” a player noted.

Oh, and so we don't forget the whole debacle about “new” games in any way are games that are not enclosed in plastic, for some reason.

Yes, we think the Gamestop Twitter administrator would like it to put back in the “draft” folder. Well, at least there were some good laughs and shared experiences, as horrible as they have been.
