Overwatch 2 Season 16 began on April 22 and brought different features to Hero Shooter. One of the largest additions was hero ban in Overwatch 2Competitive location, which addresses long -term feedback from players. With this feature, players choose their preferred hero and show who they want to play with. Each player then chooses three heroes to ban, and the system calculates the votes to define the four characters that are not available during the match. One month after the beginning of season 16, Blizzard reveals the impact of hero ban in Overwatch 2.

The blog post also shows that Freja, Overwatch 2New character, has a ban on almost 40% among PC players, while the speed among the console players is below 10%. Blizzard also shared the prices for different regions, with Freja, D.Va and Ana who appear as the most forbidden heroes of players in America, Europe and Korea in master ranking or higher. Oddly enough, SOMBRA is shown in the five most forbidden DPs on all three servers, while Mercy is outside the three most forbidden supports in Korea.
The addition of Hero Bans has taken a new layer of depth to Blizzard's shooter, which causes players to create new strategies and learn to deal with that they cannot play with their favorite Overwatch 2 hero. As Season 16 progresses, society looks forward to seeing which characters will have the highest ban at the end when the season ends and how players will use this feature in coming seasons.
