Overwatch 2 Recently, a little flat was captured by using an ad with seemingly AI art for its new Busan Cow Youtooz plush. Although the ad was removed shortly after it was published, Overwatch 2 Fans were quick to notice the use of the controversial tool when it first appeared.
The inflatable cow found on top of one of the buildings in Overwatch 2The Busan map is one of the most popular doodades in the game, thanks to its charming look and entertaining jig physics when it meets with projectiles. To take advantage of the beloved set, Overwatch 2 Recently collaborated with Collectible Creator Youtooz to immortalize Busan-KO in the form of a nine-inch filled animal.
Overwatch 2 Busan Ko PlySch Ai Art Controvers
However, one of the ads for this new product created some controversy because of what seemed to be the use of generative AI. Shortly after the launch of this plushie, Blizzard shared a picture of it on the officer Overwatch 2 Chirp. Players quickly noticed that the background seemed to have been created with generative AI, with distorted images of Overwatch 2 Heroes D.Va, Tracer and Genji. From the clearer picture preserved and shared by Overwatch Cavalry without Busan -ko plush, the three heroes sported inconsistencies in their armor design, with Tracer's face in particular looks particularly unpleasant.
Of course, fans were not happy. The comments were quickly flooded with criticism of the AI art, with the vast majority of players dissatisfied by Blizzard Publishing Art with the help of the sharing tool instead of simple background art for Overwatch 2 map. Within an hour after the original post, Blizzard deleted the controversial announcement and its image and has not yet replaced it at press time.
It is difficult to say how this happened in the first place. It is possible that the image was created by Youtooz for use in the campaign, or that Overwatch 2 was unaware that generative AI was used until it was shared. Alternatively, it could have been a deliberate move at Blizzard's end; After all, the company apparently used AI art to promote its latest Diablo immortal x Stove cooperation, so the disputed technology has not been isolated to Overwatch 2.
No matter how the incident, the adorable Overwatch Busan Cow plushie is still exclusively available in Blizzard Gear store, where it would remain indefinitely. Fans who hope to add this officially licensed reproduction of the iconic inflatable decoration can do so for $ 38, not including taxes, shipping or other fees.
