Dynasty Warriors update is only half successful in the end.
That said, it was just a problem – the NPCs talked too much. Now, via Patch 1,0003, Koei Tecmo plays players to turn off the NPCs right in their tracks. According to Patch notes, players can make rumors shown in the outside world to appear either less often or turn them off completely.
“Added rumor settings in the configuration menu. These new settings allow you to make rumors of playing automatically when on the world map occur less frequently or make them play without sound,” described the patch notes.
“Thankfully, I can finally turn off **** NPCs and continue to say in the outside world!” A user exclaimed in Dynasty Warriors subreddit. Surprisingly, this is not the first time a game has been lapped to let players turn off annoying dialogue.
Stop talking so much
Famous, when God of War Ragnarök launched on PC last year, it was gathered in a “reduced puzzle tip” feature that mainly lets players turn off Atreus and Freya. Then it was named a PC exclusive function before reaching consoles.
Before that, Horizon forbidden West was patched so that Aloy would not mention her stash so often, something that Gerilla even admitted to the patch notes. Elsewhere, Super Mario Wonder lets off the talking flowers from the beginning. It is worth noting that the flower will tell you if you decide to turn it off. While the patches are all welcome solutions, perhaps a better solution would be to stop making annoying companions in the first place.
