Elbaf arc off One Piece it was always going to be absolutely huge for the Straw Hat Pirates. Given that Egghead was a fairly short arc and largely focused on escaping the threat rather than confronting it, fans had high expectations for the Elbaf arc, where the Straw Hat Pirates would go up against the likes of the World Government's Holy Knights. In that regard, Oda has very much delivered, and One Piece Chapter 1176 really went to show just that. It was expected of Oda to give absolutely massive power-ups to the likes of the Monster Trio of the Straw Hats, but also some other members of the crew. Now Franky, one of the most underrated Straw Hats, has received a massive power-up in the form of Super Heavy Cola, which Oda first introduced in One Piece Chapter 1176.

Oda gives Franky a new power with Super Vega Cola
As noted early in the Elbaf arc, Franky spends quite a bit of time with Dr. Vegan punk. Considering that both are scientists of different kinds, it was already determined that he would pick up a few things from this genius person. In fact, all the way back to the One Piece series timeskip, Franky's entire body was actually redesigned based on Vegapunk's research. Even the laser he put in his body came from Vegapunk. As such, it makes perfect sense for Franky to improve his overall arsenal thanks to Vegapunk in the Elbaf arc.
In chapter 1176 of One Piece, Vegapunk confirmed to Franky that despite having a Pacifista-level body, he was not reaching his full potential. While Coke was certainly a great source of energy for him, it wasn't the best source out there. As such, to grow even stronger, Franky needed a stronger energy source, and this source came directly from Dr. Vegapunk. Harnessing the power of the heat energy generated from the flames around the burning library, Vegapunk was able to create something called Super Vega Cola, and it is with this cola that Franky gets a major upgrade. While cola was already strong enough for Franky to destroy enemies as strong as Sasaki, he is now stronger than ever before and ready to fight even greater threats that exist in the One Piece world.
Franky is stronger than ever with his new power
With the power of Super Vega Cola, Franky should be strong enough to fight the likes of Yonko Commanders, considering he could take down a Tobi Roppo with ease. Now Franky can target enemies on the same level as Doflamingo, Charlotte Cracker and potentially even the likes of Smoothie and Queen. Franky's new power should not be underestimated, considering he already has the body of a Pacifista, and the laser from Kizaru. With his new energy source, his overall effect in terms of strength should grow remarkably, and it was clear to see when he took down an MMA with immense power in Chapter 1176.

Then there's also the fact that Franky may have accidentally harnessed the power of Haki in the Egghead arc without knowing it. If he continues to master this power as well, it goes without saying that he would then officially be on the same level as the Yonko Commanders of the One Piece world. Indeed, his development in the Final Saga will be incredibly exciting, and fans are eagerly awaiting it.

Franky will fight the MMA and Domi Reversi army with his new power up
As for what's next for Franky in the Elbaf arc, the answer is pretty clear. The whole country is flooded with MMA created by St. Killingham, as well as the Domi Reversi Giants, which were created by Imu. These threats are there for the Straw Hats to clean up, and Franky is sure to play a big part in that regard. Considering these MMA's are strong enough to take down even a homie like Zeus, Franky will have an interesting opponent to test his newfound skills against. He's sure to test out various abilities, including newly awakened versions of the Radical Beam, among others, and that's really incredibly exciting for his overall character arc.
