Now, 2025 is over and One Piece's final chapter is approaching. One Piece 1169 is scheduled to be the final chapter in 2025and it officially will be was released on December 21, 2025. Along with its release, Oda has a big surprise in store for fans in the form of a new color spread and a new magazine cover. Fans are excited about the possibilities when it comes to these new illustrations, but also sad about any upcoming hiatus One Piece will experience.

Oda has a big gift for fans next week
The end of 2025 is only a few weeks away, and before the end of the year, One Piece fans have one last gift to receive from Oda. Eiichiro Oda will reveal this gift on December 21, 2025, along with the release of the final One Piece chapter of the year.
On December 21st, One Piece will be on the cover of Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine with a new Oda drawingwhich means fans will get to see Luffy take the lead again, but it doesn't end there. One Piece will also get a new color spread drawn by Oda, and fans are hyped.
What will the new color spread and magazine cover feature?
Whenever magazine covers and color spreads are revealed, fans always start to wonder what Oda might draw next. Usually these illustrations, while great, aren't all that exciting. The magazine covers usually feature Luffy and color spreads usually center on Straw Hat pirates.
That said, sometimes there can be exceptions. On the last issue's cover, for example, Oda actually drew and colored Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, and Monkey D. Garp alongside Luffy. This was very exciting, as it was the first time fans had seen Xebec's color scheme.

Whitebeard's very first mate has been revealed, and he has an interesting connection to Marco the Phoenix in One Piece.
However, that is unlikely to be the case this time. With these illustrations being released on December 21st, it probably just will be festive themed illustrations of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates for Christmas and New Year. Still, fans shouldn't expect to see Loki on one of them, considering he's a big part of One Piece's Elbaf Arc.
One Piece will have many breaks in the coming weeks
Oda will be releasing some exciting new content on December 21st with the new chapter, but after that, One Piece fans will go through a tough time.
With Oda's scheduled breaks, as well as Jump's own holiday hiatus, there will be some breaks on the way for fans. At least, fans will get at least 3 breaks in December and January.
Not only that, but also The One Piece anime also goes on hiatus at the end of December. In other words, fans will get little or no new content from their favorite series.
