One of the best anime series of all time is getting a sad update

Since the rise of streaming platforms, it has become much easier to watch both new and old anime titles. Platforms like Netflix, Disney+ and Crunchyroll boast huge libraries, which fans could watch for years, and they still won't be done.

However, there is a downside to streaming and that is that some titles are removed after a while. Once a series is deleted, it is almost impossible to watch the show. Fans must purchase the Blu-ray or DVD of that particular anime to watch it.

One of the best anime series of all time is getting a sad update

  • Claymore has been removed from Crunchyroll

  • Fans have become concerned about other anime on the platform

Recently, Crunchyroll removed the Claymore anime from its library. Because of this, fans have been left with no legal way to stream the show. The removal of Claymore leaves fans with a big problem. They either have to give up watching the anime altogether or buy physical discs. The only other option is to read the manga on online platforms like Shonen Jump+. It's worth mentioning that readers have to pay a small fee to access the manga.

It's pretty obvious that streaming isn't without its problems. In fact, over the past decade or so, streaming various anime has become quite complicated. Some anime titles are exclusive to Crunchyroll, while others can only be streamed on Netflix and Disney+. This is a huge problem for anime fans because not everyone can afford to pay for the subscriptions. So the platforms have to make sure their libraries are different.

Claymore is based on the manga of the same name written by Norihiro Yagi. It began serialization in Monthly Shonen Jump in June 2001, and it continued until the magazine's closure in 2007, after which the manga was transferred to Jump Square, where it ran until 2014. Claymore's anime adaptation began airing in April 2007. The anime gained attention in anime, and soon became a huge hit.

Claymore has been praised for its immense story and cast of characters. Fans also believe it has some of the best artwork. Another reason behind the positive reviews is the character designs. These attributes have made Claymore a must read, especially for those who love dark stories.

Claymore is set in a fantasy world where humanity must deal with shape-shifting monsters known as Yoma. To prevent the Yoma from running wild, an organization comes up with an idea to create human-Yoma hybrids to kill the monsters.

The Claymore manga can be read on Shonen Jump+.
