Although it promised that there would be more of them after its unexpected Killzone-Team-up, Helldivers 2 has been quite easy when it comes to crossovers. We may be about to get a big when the PS5 console arrives exclusive to Xbox later this month, but when a new trailer that hypers its overall edition ends with the proposal that content from Halo 3: Odst comes to the game.
The majority of the new Helldivers 2 bring the trailer is just a fairly effective ad that tries to attract Xbox players to pre-order the game. Join the fight for Super Earth when launched in Series X | S on August 26. But after it fades to black, we appear a Hellpod landing with what Halo fans have correctly identified as music from Halo 3: Odst games when it arrives on the battlefield.

It is all Halo at Helldivers that we have shown at the moment, with not even a mention that there will be an official transition, even less information about what it crossover can include. There is even a chance that this is not a crossover and is just a cool thing that Arrowhead threw in there at the end to celebrate Helldivers 2 coming to Xbox.
It seems unlikely that something similar would be included in the trailer if there is no more planned. The back stand alone to tease something similar without plans to give us anything more would be huge. Especially when the hours after Playstation revealed that it would launch the game on Xbox this summer, fans of both Halo and Helldivers put a potential crossover just at the top of their Warbond island lists.
A Halo X Helldivers crossover is very meaningful, and not just because the latter finally comes to Xbox. Helldiver costumes are very similar to Spartan Armor, which means creating skins based on elements from Halo and putting them in Helldivers 2 would be relatively simple and also be aesthetic.
This is not something stupid that would not be meaningful, oh, I don't know, to put Beavis & Butthead in Call of Duty. Oh, wait.
Although we can get content from the entire Halo series, the choice to tease Halo 3: Odst specifically feels like a intentional one. The whole point of Helldivers is that they are one -time use. When a generic Super Earth Soldier dies, another arrives to take his place. Random spartans can be framed as a new army that joins the fight to save Super Earth. However, there is only one Master Chief, so if we try to make sure that this is still meaningful, to put the Halo head in a game where he dies over and over again would not add.
