Oda reveals a character with a stronger defense than Kaido

The One Piece manga is nearing the end of the God Valley Incident. Over the past few chapters, Oda has been focused on delivering a top-notch conclusion to the most infamous incident in One Piece history.

Recently, fans got to see Davy D. Xebec battle Roger and Garp. The captain of the Rocks Pirates was turned into a demon by Imu, who then ordered him to unleash hell on everyone on the island. Of everyone in God Valley, only Roger and Garp were ready to face him.

Davy D. Xebec had a tougher defense than Kaido

In the last couple of chapters, it became clear that the demonic version of Xebec was stronger than any single person in One Piece. His physical abilities were heightened, and even characters like Linlin and Kaido could not harm him. In fact, Xebec took them out with a couple of hits. After dealing with them, Xebec clashed with Whitebeard, resulting in one of the two giant stones collapsing. Neither Whitebeard nor Xebec seemed to have been hurt, but they continued their fight.

After the brief battle, Xebec went to meet Roger and Garp, but there was something strange about his behavior. Instead of being a malicious madman, Xebec had tears streaming down his face, and he begged Roger and Garp to stop him. The two fighters were in disbelief, but they realized he had to be stopped. Roger and Garp used many powerful Conqueror's Haki-enhanced attacks against Xebec, but none of them seemed to make a dent in his defenses.

Roger and Garp had their backs against the wall, but they finally came up with a solution. The two concentrated and put all their effort into one final attack, and thankfully it bypassed Xebec's defenses, resulting in the demon's death.

Goddalen is finally over

With Xebec's death, the incident in God Valley is over. Before the Elbaf arc, he was just a notorious pirate who struck fear into the hearts of friends and foes alike. However, the flashback has helped fans understand what kind of person Xebec really was. He may have been a dangerous pirate, but he was by no means the cruel and vicious individual that people made him out to be. Rocks was a person of morals and a proper code. For example, he reprimanded Kaido when the latter suggested that he harm Harald. Xebec was quick to remind him that Harald was his dear friend.

Xebec's charisma earned him the loyalty of a person like Whitebeard, who was ready to fight side by side against Imu without hesitation. Even Kaido was willing to stay by Xebec's side. The legendary pirate was also in love with his wife. In fact, he went to God Valley to save his wife and child from certain death. Unfortunately, his name and his achievements have been almost erased from history. The new generation of pirates and marines are unaware of Xebec, but his name is immortalized among One Piece fans.

As the God Valley flashback is coming to a close, fans can expect the story to return to the present day, where the Straw Hats are currently engaged in a bitter battle against the Holy Knights and Imu. The villains are ruthless and their goal is to destroy the nation of giants. The only person who could save the country was Scopper Gaban, but he was taken down by Gunko.

But there is still hope, as Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Loki can still fight. They are all outstanding fighters, who can change the tide of battle with their power. But they need some help in overcoming the regenerative abilities of the Holy Knights. But that won't be a problem, as Scopper Gaban can teach them the basics. With the information, the heroes should be able to defeat the Holy Knights.
