This is definitely contrary to what many fans of A bit believe. After all, Luffy has many death flags himself, and many of them have gathered throughout his adventure. For example, his life was chipped during his infiltration of Impel when he had to recover from Magellan's deadly poison. And even besides that, it was stated that his gears eat away at his life as well. All this is definitely planned by ODA, but it will be shown in some way in a paragraph to counteract this, as Luffy cannot die. Or it can just be that Luffy dies young after his adventure, but not before the series ends.
