Oda finally releases Imu's true form in the Elbaf battle

One Piece's The Elbaf arc marked the beginning of the battle between Imu and the Luffy and Loki duo with Chapter 1178, and it certainly lived up to expectations and shocked quite a few. It saw major developments that will shake things up One Piece the world to its core. With Luffy and Loki dominating their fight against Imu, it almost seemed as if Elbaf was close to finishing, but now Oda has unleashed Imu's true power. For the very first time, fans will witness the power that Joy Boy faced in the Void Century 800 years ago, and the power that managed to kill him with their own eyes. For the first time, Imu is set to unleash her true power One Piece.

Luffy and Loki overpowered Gunko in the Warland

The Elbaf arc of One Piece has carried an ominous feel ever since the Loki flashback ended, and that's because things have simply been too good for the Straw Hats and Giants. One by one, every ally of Imu has fallen, be it Sommers, Killingham, or the Domi Reversi army that was established early in the arc.

In One Piece Chapter 1178, the Imu themselves fell, as Gunko was easily overpowered by Loki and Luffy, both of whom managed to counter Domi Reversi's power. When Imu was purged from Gunko's body, it seemed the battle was won, but now Imu's true form will finally be unleashed, and this spells trouble for Luffy and Loki.

Why Imu's True Form will appear in Elbaf

When Loki froze Imu One Piece chapter 1178, it was clear that Imu would now have to make some sort of counterattack. Sure enough, towards the end of the chapter, Imu was seen in the Holy Land of Marijoa, called the elders and told them that they would be leaving the Holy Land for a short time. In other words, Imu is personally heading to Elbaf through the Abyss and will now confront the threat of Luffy and Loki with her own power, revealing their true form in the process. Clearly, this also means big trouble for the duo of Luffy, Loki, and the country of Elbaf, because there is absolutely no way they can defeat Imu.

For all intents and purposes, Luffy and Loki are now set to battle Imu in the Arc of Elbaf, and this battle is going to be incredibly chaotic. For starters, Imu is simply far too overwhelmed for these two individuals to fight and defeat right now. Imu's strength was such that even the Army of the Ancient Kingdom could not compete with it. Even Joy Boy, whose Haki was extremely powerful, was defeated by the forces of the 20 Kings, especially Imu, long ago. For Luffy and Loki to defeat him right now is completely impossible.

When the Imu enter Elbaf, likely through a chasm in one piece in 1179, they will reveal their true form. Imu's shadowy figure may be fully revealed in the next chapter, but even if it isn't, they will show their powers in their true form as they take on Luffy and Loki in battle once more.

With Round 2 of Imu vs. Luffy and Loki now starting, things are already looking grim for Elbaf and the Straw Hat Pirates. Simply put, the chances of victory here are close to zero. There is absolutely no way that Luffy and Loki will go on to defeat the final villain in One Piece this early.

If Imu even makes a move to Elbaf, it only compounds Elbaf's defeat and creates problems for the likes of Sun God Nika and Nidhogg. Regardless of how fans look at it, Imu's arrival in Elbaf is very bad for the main characters, as it not only puts their lives in danger, but also opens up some major deaths to take place in the land.
