The Switch 2 Has received another round fixing that improves its back compatibility, with the changes that affect five Switch 1 titles. Nintendo has also flagged problems with several other last gene games on Switch 2 and signals the intention to address them in the near future.
Since he officially announced his latest console in January 2025, Nintendo has been clear that Switch 2 back compatibility will not be absolute even though it is extensive. The company warned that some switch titles may not work entirely due to specific hardware requirements, which is the case with Call Fit Adventurewhich comes with an accessory that is only compatible with the original Joy-Con. It also warned that some older games could experience unforeseen problems on the new system that can take time to solve.
Switch 2 Now completely backward compatible with Warframe and another 4 games
Nintendo's efforts to improve the console's backward compatibility have now continued with another five fixes that are rolled out. They are aimed at War frameThe Considered as rebornThe Ultra ageThe Ruina Libraryand Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025. All these titles should now be completely compatible with the Switch successor. Their corrections have been distributed with Switch 2 20.5.0 update, launched at the end of September 2025.
The 20.5.0 update is a compact edition that should only take a few seconds to download on a Gigabit connection. Its official PATCH notes do not go into any details regarding the new Switch 2 backwards compatibility fixes-a pattern that Nintendo has already established with its latest console updates.
At the same time as this edition updated Nintendo ESHOP pages in multiple Switch 1 titles with messages that inform users about some recently identified compatibility problems on Switch 2. Of them only Jelly troops has been flagged that is currently not supported by Switch 2 due to some unspecified progression problems.
