New Rayman Game Leaked Online

Next project from Ubisoft in Rayman series has apparently been leaked, as a potential game project has already received an age rating despite not being officially revealed by the company. The leak confirmed earlier rumors about Ubisoft and its plans for Rayman30th anniversary, despite the fact that the occasion already occurred in September 2025.

The news about RaymanThe return came amid a tumultuous time for Ubisoft. On January 21, Ubisoft announced a major change in its operations, canceling several game projects that were in development. The biggest casualty of Ubisoft's restructuring was a long-awaited remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Timewhich was stated to be close to completion when the developer pulled the plug. Although not canceled by Ubisoft, a remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag was instead delayed. The fallout from Ubisoft's changes also had a negative impact on its bottom line. On January 22, Ubisoft's stock price fell to its lowest level in nearly 15 years.

Ubisoft is said to be facing more internal turmoil, with employees said to be openly criticizing management following the latest restructuring.

Rayman may get a 30th Anniversary Edition game

Although rumors of RaymanThe return has been a persistent topic over the years, some new evidence could lend credence to the idea. According to a rating published by the Australian Classification Board (ACB), a game with the title Rayman's 30th Anniversary Edition may be heading to the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch consoles. The classification was dated January 22, 2026, just days after Ubisoft's controversial restructuring. Rayman's 30th Anniversary Edition was rated G for General, with an additional tag stating that the game may contain very mild degrees of violent content. The ACB's G rating is roughly the same as the ESRB's E for Everyone rating. ACB's ratings were also consistent with those previously Rayman titles have received over the years. But considering that Ubisoft has not officially revealed any information about Rayman series, rumors of a potential 30th anniversary game should be taken with a fine grain of salt.

Interestingly, the developer and publisher listed by ACB was Atari rather than Ubisoft, with the rating application submitted by U&I Entertainment. In short, Atari has worked with other companies on franchises it doesn't own. For example, although Mortal Kombat The IP is owned by Warner Bros., Atari was listed as the publisher of the fighting game compilation Mortal Kombat: Legacy Collectionwith Digital Eclipse managing its development. As for U&I Entertainment, the company has worked with Atari and Ubisoft to release physical copies of various games. Ergo, the ACB rating can be for physical copies of Rayman's 30th Anniversary Edition which can be distributed if the game comes to market. No other details about Rayman's 30th Anniversary Edition could be retrieved from ACB's post.

Rayman's future remains shrouded in speculation

The rating confirmed earlier reports from Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson, who stated that two Rayman game projects were in development under the code names “Iceman” and “Steambot”. Henderson later answered questions about Rayman's 30th anniversary project on X, and said he believes it is a single game rather than a trilogy. Earlier rumors said that “Steambot” was the codename for a remake of Rayman Legendsa title known to have 1,000,000 collectibles. Ergo, the code name “Iceman” is a likely guess for Rayman's 30th Anniversary Edition. Henderson added that the game could be released “very, very soon” although it remains to be seen how soon that might be.

In the meantime, fans who want to play one Rayman games on a current generation console are lucky. In December 2025, the Nintendo 64 app for Switch and Switch 2 received an update that included Rayman 2: The Great Escape as an exclusive benefit for Switch Online users with the Expansion Pack upgrade. But time will tell about the rumours Raymans potential comeback will prove true.
